🐾 A very special little make…

Not everything I make ends up in the Crumbs & Sparkles shop ✨

Today’s creation was a little thank-you for my dog's trainer — and of course, there was only one thing I could possibly make her… dog earrings! 😂🐶

They started life as two rather plain little polymer clay pups, then came the really satisfying bit — adding all those tiny details and texture by hand until they had a personality of their own. 🤎

Finished with warm wooden studs and gold details, and I have to say… I’m a little bit obsessed with them. 🥹

One of my favourite things about making jewellery is being able to create something completely personal for someone — especially when dogs are involved. 🐾✨

Now the question is…
Do we think dog earrings need to become a Crumbs & Sparkles thing?! 👀

✨️ Practice makes Sparkles ✨️

I don't get much time these days in between running a household, training my boy (spot him in the first photo) and a full time job, but for a few weeks now I have been working hard going through a rebrand.

I get to showcase this on August bank holiday Goatfest Live Music Festival along side other talented makers hosted by Jemma Creative Hub & Pop Up Markets so I just had to do a practice set up and I have to admit, I am feeling a little proud 👏

Every display stand, every pair of earrings, every little detail has been carefully thought about to create a space that feels just as handmade as the jewellery itself.

It's amazing to look back and see how much Crumbs and Sparkles has grown. What started out as a creative hobby has become something I am genuinely excited to share with people.

Now all that's left is to pack everything up.. and somehow remember where I put it all!! 🤣

If you're going to Goatfest Live Music Festival over the August bank holiday weekend, I'd love you to come and say hello, browse the collection and try out a few pairs and see what's new

Ever look at something you've made and think... "It's nice... but it could be even better?" ✨

That's exactly what happened with these earrings.

I loved the deep navy arches from the beginning, but something was missing. So I went back to my workbench, swapped the details, added a little sparkle, a touch of gold, and suddenly they became the pair I had imagined all along.
That's one of the things I love most about creating handmade jewellery. Every design has the freedom to evolve until it feels just right.

The finished pair is still lightweight, still handmade from polymer clay, but now it catches the light beautifully and feels that little bit more special—perfect for dinner dates that turn into late-night cocktails, weddings, celebrations, or simply those days when you want your outfit to do the talking.

Sometimes the smallest changes make the biggest difference. 💙✨

Some days just don't need a special occasion!

Sometimes you just deserve to feel beautiful.

The little sparkle that catches your eye in the mirror before you leave the house.

The quiet confidence that comes from wearing something made just for you.

The reminder that even an ordinary day can feel a little magical.

Life is busy! So here's your reminder to..

✨️ Buy the earrings
🍲 Book lunch with your bestie
🚶‍♀️Take a long walk and breathe in the fresh air
🍾 Celebrate the little moments

Because you don't need a reason to wear something that makes you smile!

Handmade with love, for those moments that become your favourite memories ✨️

✨ The face behind Crumbs & Sparkles ✨

Hi! I'm Melanie – the designer, maker, photographer, website builder, order packer, social media manager... and, of course, the biggest fan of my own earrings. 🤍

People often see the finished earrings, but not everything that happens behind the scenes.

The reality is that Crumbs & Sparkles is something I pour my heart into around a full-time job. Add in looking after a home, spending time with my very demanding Labrador, Ronnie 🐾, and trying to have a life somewhere in between... and it can feel like there's never quite enough time.

My mind is constantly buzzing with new ideas, colour combinations and designs. I wish I had twice as many hours in the day because there are so many collections I'd love to create and so many plans I'd love to bring to life.

Some evenings I'm full of inspiration, and other evenings I'm simply too tired to open the clay. I think that's the reality for so many small business owners—we're all just doing our best to balance our dreams with everyday life.

But every order, every message, every like and every share reminds me why I started this journey in the first place.

My biggest dream? To one day turn Crumbs & Sparkles into my full-time job. Until then, I'll keep creating whenever I can, one pair of earrings at a time.

Thank you for being here and supporting this little dream of mine. It genuinely means more than you'll ever know. 💛
