Set in the rolling countryside of North Buckinghamshire we offer a tranquil and picturesque location where you can create the wedding of your dreams. We are licensed for Civil Ceremonies with a choice of locations in the main barn or in the quiet country gardens. The barn is a bright spacious venue with twinkling fairy lights together with specialist lighting and sound system, and with its vaulted ceiling and heavily wooded features it effortlessly retains its links with the hay barn that stood here 100 years ago. The well stocked bar on the ground floor with its extensive range of Gins is complimented on the gallery by a Cocktail Bar adjacent to a relaxing ‘snug’ area - a separate comfortable lounge with mood lighting where guests can relax and chat. Adjacent to the barn is a large silk lined marquee with chandeliers and festoon lighting which provides an additional space for drinks, evening food or entertainment. Whist free to choose all your own suppliers we have a range of recommended caterers, photographers, florists and more who will be pleased to help make your wedding day perfect. Our associated company The Complete Wedding Package have all the extras you may need including Photo Booth, LED Dance Floor, Candy Cart etc

Harvest Moon Barn is a large two bedroom barn sleeping four and Ember Eve Barn next door has an antique draped Four Poster Bed, large Victorian Slipper Bath and private balcony overlooking the fields - perfect for the bride and groom.

A magical wedding on Saturday for Ashleigh and Jamie here at Winters Tale - a lovely day with all the couples friends ( and relatives) enjoying the day to the full. The weather stayed dry which was obviously because the bridal party buried a sausage in the garden ! Such a fun day !

Autumn colours at the end of a challenging scorching season In our Secret Garden - A Winters Tale .. We never wanted the Secret Garden to be a perfectly manicured garden, it’s a garden in the countryside surrounded by nature, and we like to let it be just that. The flowers change with the seasons, the wildlife comes and goes, and every year the garden looks a little different. For us, that’s part of its charm. It’s natural, a little wild around the edges and a lovely relaxed place to be with the people you love to celebrate as part of your day! It’s wonderful this week to see the garden changing colour again - come and visit on our Open Evening THIS WEDNESDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 6 till 9PM
