Live to your Living Room is part of the Association of Independent Promoters, who are supporting the House of Commons’ Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee with conducting a survey as part of their fan-led review of live music 🎶📋

This inquiry aims to improve the sustainability of grassroots live and electronic music to safeguard the success of the wider UK music industry, and it puts fans’ feelings and opinions at its core.

The committee plans to produce a report setting out what fans think about live and electronic music and present the findings to the government 🏛️

This could be a really great opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of live-streaming for accessibility and to support grassroots venues and artists.

From the House of Commons’ CMS committee :

This is the fan-led review of music. Our overarching belief is that live music is a good thing.

The UK music industry is a cultural and economic powerhouse. We are one of only three net exporters of music in the world and the world’s third largest domestic market. But it also faces challenges: more and more music venues and clubs close each week, while emerging artists struggle to pay the bills from touring.

Our aim is to put fans at the heart of how the live and electronic music industry works, and to make sure the Government is listening to them.

We hope to collect enough data to influence further engagement with music fans and ultimately produce a report setting out what fans think about live and electronic music. We will present this report to the Government and publish their response.

Please take 10–12 minutes to give your thoughts & share widely 📣
