What a fantastic turnout on Sunday for Sunderland’s Lunar New Year celebrations! 🐉

One of the most colourful and vibrant events of the year and we absolutely love being part of it. The atmosphere in Sunniside was brilliant and it was great to see so many people out enjoying the celebrations.

📚 As the schools go back, we’re looking back on an incredible summer season of events here at AH Events — and what a finish it was! ☀️

🏉 We were proud to deliver the Fan Zone for the Women’s Rugby World Cup in Sunderland — three brilliant days on Keel Square, the opening of the Keel Crossing, and showcasing the very best of Sunderland alongside Sunderland City Council, the Women’s Rugby World Cup team, and multiple stakeholders. Thousands of fans packed out the city for the England v USA opening game — topped off with a spectacular fireworks finale from our sister company, Reaction Fireworks. 🎆

🎭 For Newcastle City Council, we provided safety and production for seven creative events in Byker — from the jaw-dropping Aerial Crane Show to a Film Festival, Monster Market, music festival, photography exhibition, and the breath-taking Picto Facto.

🎉 With Newcastle NE1, we brought the Quayside to life with two major highlights — the Quayside Carnival (attracting over 10,000 people!) and the ever-popular Dog on the Tyne events.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 And finally, we entertained over 8,000 people at Nissan Family Day — a huge celebration packed with activities for all ages and two buzzing festival stages.

✨ Every event was delivered safely, successfully, on time, and within budget. A huge thank you to all our clients, suppliers, and stakeholders who helped make this summer unforgettable.

🍂🎄 We’re now busy working on some amazing autumn and Christmas events — watch this space!

It’s been a non-stop few days for the AH Events team!

From helping bring a culinary experience to Newcastle NE1’s Restaurant Week, to delivering Urban Festival with Sunderland BID, supporting a vibrant community event in Byker for Newcastle City Council, and lending a hand at the Ferryhill Gala — we’ve been here, there, and everywhere!

We also provided safety management for Seaham Food Festival on behalf of Durham County Council — a fantastic weekend.

Meanwhile, our sister company Reaction Fireworks lit up the skies with a spectacular finale display for Hartlepool Carnival, and continued their weekly magic with fireworks and hot props for the award-winning Kynren.

👏 Big shoutout to our brilliant crew and partners — proud to be part of so many incredible events across the North East!

Our event medical team was proud to support our friends at AH Events, working alongside Sunderland City Council’s events team at the Keel Square big screen, where fans gathered to watch the match and soak up the atmosphere!

📸 We have had an incredible line-up of street bands for Durham Brass Festival 2025 that have performed this week across County Durham at our Streets of Brash, Party in the Park and Brass Bash events, as well as visiting local schools!
