OLIVIA + JOHN

Olivia and John’s wedding at Shortflatt Tower landed on one of the hottest days of the year so far.

This video ended up being one of my favourites purely because of how natural the whole day felt. The two of them were so present with each other all day that loads of the best moments came without any effort from me. Little comments to each other, reactions during the ceremony, bits of background chat — the sort of audio that makes a film actually feel personal.

They’ve both got amazing personalities as well, which comes across in every part of the video. Made my 'job' very easy.

Real moments from Sally and Dom.
an Englishman from Yorkshire marries his bride from Ohio, and add in 150+ guests who have traveled from all across the globe, you know you are in for one hell of a party!
Thicket Priory was the backdrop (my first visit there) for Sally and Dominic’s day. I love the American format where we had first looks and family photos before the ceremony so Sally and Dominic could enjoy the rest of their day.
There was so much energy throughout the day ending with a packed dance floor.
Thanks to Anna and the team at Thicket Priory for making me feel so welcome.

Sparklers always bring out good energy. People relax, have a bit of fun, and it makes for strong footage. I film it wide so the couple can see the whole atmosphere rather than just the close-ups. My big tip before a wedding - test the sparkers. So many times they don't light as they've been spored incorrectly.
