We are not a Manor, Hall or Castle. We are not a Barn, Hotel or Estate, we are ASHFIELD HOUSE. When couples take over exclusively for their wedding day, our house becomes like their home and we become like their extended family! Our house is a gorgeous blank canvas for weddings, it is grand yet homely and is jam packed full of quirky details (old and new) yet somehow manages to soak up the personality of each couple. The atmosphere here is full of love and joy, probably because of the absolute legends that make up our wedding team, busy doing their dream job day in day out! Our house and our team are laid back, fun, creative and wild – but not so hipster your Nan wont approve! We are not normal… being an independent family business means we let couples do their thing without a load of rules getting in the way. We love drinking coffee and brainstorming about how to make weddings awesome – and with a layout designed specifically for weddings, mind blowing in house catering and 15 guest bedrooms we really do ace it. We can host 120 guests for a ceremony and sit down dinner and up to 220 for evening receptions

Shameless brag, we’ve won the UK’s best venue (town/city) 2017, 2018 and 2019 and for 2020 we are living the dream as judges! 13 awards in 3 years can't be wrong! We never stop evolving, much like Madonna Queen of Reinvention, we close each year to redecorate, renovate and populate our house with very lovely new things. We’re chuffed our page has found its way to you but fear not, if we aren’t your cup of tea (or the cracker to your cheese) we wont be doing the hard sell. Although lets be honest, you’d be crazy not to at least come for a nosey, right?

Ashfield House transforms into wedding party central for an Open Evening like no other!

💃🕺 Join us at Ashfield House on Thursday 22nd October from 5-9pm for an unforgettable Open Evening where you can imagine your wedding evening in full swing - music, dancing, food, fun!

🎧 DFC will be in the house, filling the dance floor with party beats. Expect top-class entertainment with a magician, casino tables, and more.

💐 Our regular suppliers will be there too including cakes, wedding cars, stylists, and more! We'll also have photographers and content creators who know how to capture the magic!

🌸 The venue will be styled to perfection with neon displays by The Word Is Love and floral designs by AM Flowers.

💡 Our incredible Wedding Team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have (when they aren't on the dancefloor).

🕑 When? Thursday 22nd October, 5-9pm
📍 Where? Ashfield House, Standish

The Great Northern Wedding Show, on Sunday 4th October 2026, will be the 25th Great Northern Wedding Show!

Meet over one hundred of the region’s most talented and innovative wedding professionals, including leading wedding venues (hello there 👋🏻).

🕛 Join us from 11am to 3:30pm for a whirlwind of inspiration and ideas!

📍 Bolton Arena, a huge indoor venue located across from Bolton’s football ground, where you’ll find easy access and lots of free parking.

Our friends at Botanic Studio (formerly known as The Rose Boutique) are back for more seasonal cosy creativity! 🥰 🍂 🎄

We have some gorgeous workshops taking place at Ashfield House over the next couple of months, each allowing you to get into the spirit of the season (be it fall, spooky, or festive) and explore your creativity.

Each workshop includes a drink and seasonal treat, and you'll walk away with a beautiful decoration that you hand-crafted yourself. A perfect mix of fizz and florals! 🥂

Get creative at Ashfield House with Botanic Studio and create your own beautiful pumpkin masterpiece with dried flowers that will still look stunning come December. You also get a drink and a delicious seasonal treat to enjoy while you create!

Join Botanic Studio at Ashfield House for a luxurious Christmas wreath-making experience, creating a beautiful seasonal wreath to take home. There's a vast array of ribbons and decorations to make it uniquely yours, and you get a choice of a glass of fizz or a cosy hot drink, alongside a festive treat!

Just bring your own sturdy pair of scissors or wire cutters, and we will provide the rest!

Autumn is a gorgeous time to Fall in love. 🍂🧡

Two Septembers ago Charlotte & Lee tied the knot in a strikingly beautiful wedding, with The Gardens of Ashfield House speckled with the yellows, oranges, and browns that signal the changing of the seasons. 😍

There really is no such thing as a bad time to get married at Ashfield House.

Sure, we can't always guarantee a dry day for our couples, but we make it work regardless!

Two weeks until our storied door opens once again...

Take a relaxed, informal look around Ashfield House, with no suppliers, no pressure, and no fuss at our next Open House. ✨

An Open House is a relaxed afternoon where you can bring your big ideas or work out the little details with the help of our Wedding Team.

Whether you're already booked in with us or still venue-hunting and simply curious for a nosey, come and see Ashfield House ‘au naturel’ and take a look at the practical side of things like:

🪑 Tables | Check out what size tables fit where, we can bring out all the sizes for you!

🎀 Your stuff | Bring your centrepieces, place settings, signs, props… basically anything you want to see in situ.

🛏️ Bedrooms | Have a good nosey around the bedrooms, test out the cots, and figure out which guests belong where.

🤷🏼‍♀️ Questions | The team will be here to answer your questions, so hit us with the tricky ones!

No need to book, just turn up Thursday 24th September, 3:30pm-8:30pm!

It's not often we have a story to share that combines our sister venues of The Wayfarer and Ashfield House...

Emily & Liam got married at Ashfield House last month, and all of the table names at their wedding breakfast were of their favourite pubs, complete with a picture of their beloved dog sat outside each of them. 🐶

Yes, The Wayfarer, Parbold was one of those pubs, but the story doesn't end there. Emily & Liam's first date was actually at The Wayfarer, and on the eve of their wedding they returned with their wedding party for a celebration meal completing a lovely full-circle moment.

What can we say? Ashfield House and The Wayfarer are Just The Place for those big life moments. ❤️
