This is an exciting foliage Friday! A delivery of our evergreen and deciduous shrubs. Silvery leaves, various shades of green are all ready to plant and grow for our lovely customers.

We are delighted to become the 1000th member of Flowers From The Farm and it was amazing when this press release popped up on screen during the 10th anniversary conference this week! As a result we’re even more inspired and it’s great to now be part of this fabulous support network of fellow British growers.

Looking forward to getting lots more beautiful foliage planted very soon.

Happy Valentine’s Day! We wish everyone a day full of love whether in person or in thought. And when it comes to cooking your loved one’s meal bear in mind the history of these three beautiful green herbs.

Basil: in folklore of Moldavia a young man who accepts basil from a young woman is destined to fall in love with her.

Thyme: according to modern language, thyme brings with it the meaning of affection, perfect for young love. Why not include a sprig in a bouquet?

Oregano: the ancient Greeks believed this to be the herb of Aphrodite, goddess of love, who is said to have created it as the herb of joy for her garden.

Don’t forget herbs in your choice of foliage can bring messages of love, as well as adding flavour and of course delicious scent.

It’s foliage Friday! With very little foliage around for picking this month, we enhanced a bunch of Alstroemeria with p***y willow and blousey Fatsia japonica leaves to make a bouquet.

We hope you all managed to get some rest over the Christmas period. We at Wilson Young Foliage will be posting ....but in these nothing-is-normal strange times we’ve actually posted this on Saturday!

If you’re feeling the house is a little bare now the decs are down, don’t forget to get outside, look around your garden and walks, and cut a bit of foliage to give your home a lift. 🌱🌿☘️
