We are about 90 strong, performing three concerts per year, singing music from Bach
to Britten, and in lighter vein, folk songs and songs from shows. Excitingly we often perform with a full orchestra and professional soloists. For special concerts in the past we have sun

We are very excited about our next concert on 25th April when we will be singing Mendelssohn's Elijah, with orchestra and professional soloists. Tickets available from 9th March - see details below. If you are a regular supporter of SCS please note the performance will start at the earlier time of 7pm.

After an uplifting performance of Messiah to a packed audience at St Mary's we will be starting our new term on Monday 5th January 2026 with rehearsals for our concert in April when we will be performing Mendelssohn's Elijah with orchestra and professional soloists.

We are enjoying being back together to sing and prepare for our concert on 22nd November. However, it is not too late to come and try us out. We also have a Young Singers Policy which means anyone under 21 in full-time education doesn't have to pay any subscriptions so do have a look at our website and contact us if you'd like to join us on Monday evenings.

We had an excellent summer concert on Saturday 12th July at The White Eagle Club (Polish Club) Riverway followed by a lovely buffet. This was a chance to celebrate the end of our season with family, friends and choir supporters with time to socialise. Our Garden Party on Sunday 13th July finished off our season.

A super concert (12th April) with British Sinfonietta under the baton of Sam Hayes. We had a good audience and the choir, despite being lower in numbers than usual, sang Lauridsen's Lux Aeterna and Puccini's Messa di Gloria with passion. A wonderful evening.

Lovely to be part of the Staffordshire Young Singers awards yesterday (13th July) and hear such talented young people. Stafford Choral Society has supported Fosym and Entrust Music Service this year with funding for the finalists in all 3 age categories. Well done to everyone who took part.
