Beautiful Wildflower Arrangements by one of our dedicated Volunteers

These stunning hedgerow bouquets were lovingly handpicked and arranged by one of our wonderful volunteers for last Saturday’s Cotes Heath & Standon Village Events Group Plant Sale and Cream Tea.

Gathered fresh from the local countryside and displayed in simple glass jars, the vibrant mix of pinks, purples, yellows and creams brought natural beauty and charm to every table.

What started as a small act of kindness — just a bit of time and effort — created a warm, welcoming atmosphere that visitors couldn’t stop admiring and talking about.

This is the perfect reminder of the huge difference one volunteer can make. It costs nothing but a few hours of your time, yet leaves a lasting, positive impression on everyone who attends.

Whether it’s arranging flowers, helping at the plant sale, or serving cream teas, every contribution helps bring our community events to life.

Great success for the WI at the plant sale this weekend …. Well done to everyone involved

A huge THANK YOU to every single person who made our Cream Tea & Plant Sale at Cotes Heath & Standon Village Hall such a blooming success! 💐

From the moment the doors opened, the hall was filled with laughter, the smell of fresh scones and homemade cakes, and the vibrant colours of beautiful plants and wildflower bouquets. What a joy it was to see our community come together so beautifully!

A massive thank you to:
• All our wonderful volunteers who gave their time so generously
• The amazing stall holders who created such a lovely atmosphere
• Everyone who baked, donated, and helped set up
• Every single person who came along, enjoyed a cream tea, bought plants, and supported local village events

Your kindness, enthusiasm, and cake-eating skills made the day truly special! ❤️
