There is never a good time to make any sort of announcement - I will try to make this as short as possible.
After a great deal of thought I have decided that I need a complete lifestyle change and with that in mind I have decided to call it a day at the shop here in St. Ives.
This is not due to ill health or anything else - this is a pure lifestyle choice which we all think about at some stage in our lives.
After 40 years in the trade and 20 here in the town,I have seen many changes in my industry both good and bad.
I feel the time is right for me to retire.
I have loved every minute of my career (except when I was dog tired and a bit tetchy with myself - not you lovely customers! )
I got to meet some lovely people from all walks of life and made some good friends too!!
I even met the odd famous person (or 10) from my days as a London Florist.
My last almost 7 years here in Cromwell Mews has been brilliant - I have been so lucky to have had all the Mews businesses around me.
They are a fantastic hard working group of people and have enjoyed my time here no end, so thank you to you all.
We will be here until the end of the month, so.......we will be having a big sale. it all has to go so grab a bargain and a chance to say goodbye!!
To say I have shed a tear or 3 is an understatement, but I'm sure you will all understand we all make difficult choices at times in our lives, but mostly they are the right ones.
And one final big thank you to my partner in crime, my husband John. Your delivery hareem is going to miss you!!
