There is a profound difference between simply reading from a script and truly holding the space for life’s most pivotal moments. It was a true honour and privilege to lead John’s Celebration of Life service, remembering a man who was loved by so many. A very special and personal farewell that I will always hold close to my heart. ❤️

What does an interment actually mean? 🕊️
When planning a final farewell for a loved one, you will often hear the terms funeral, cremation, and interment used. While a funeral focuses on honoring a life lived, the interment refers specifically to the final resting place of the deceased's physical remains.
Think of it as the closing chapter of a beautiful story—the moment a loved one is gently laid to rest.
Because the word comes from the Latin roots meaning "into the earth," it traditionally referred to a burial. However, in modern times, an interment can look quite different depending on a family's wishes:
• Traditional Burial: The casket is lowered into a grave in a cemetery or a natural burial ground.
• Ashes Burial: The cremated remains are placed in an urn and buried in a dedicated plot or a family garden.
• Mausoleum or Columbarium Placement: The casket or urn is placed into an above-ground structure or a niche wall.
Why does this ceremony matter?
For many families, the interment is a deeply intimate, private moment that happens after the main funeral service. It provides a distinct sense of closure. It is the physical act of returning a loved one to the earth or their permanent resting place, creating a sacred space where family and friends can visit, reflect, and remember for years to come.
As a celebrant, my role during an interment is to anchor that final moment with peace, personal rituals, and words that bring comfort as you say your final, physical goodbye.

For most, Friday is that awesome day we all look forward to — The finish line of the work week and the start of the weekend! It’s a time to celebrate what we’ve achieved, wind down, and get ready for some well-deserved rest and fun.
But Friday isn’t just about kicking back; it’s also a great day to celebrate life’s special moments — whether it’s tying the knot, renewing vows, or just spending quality time with loved ones. It’s the perfect excuse to make some memories and enjoy the little things.
Plus, Friday gives us a chance to pause, reflect, and feel grateful for the week that’s passed. It’s a reminder that we’ve made it through, and there’s always something to look forward to.
So, here’s to Friday — a day to relax, celebrate, and get excited for what’s next!

💟Baby Loss Awareness Week takes place across the UK from 9–15 October, as part of a wider global observance throughout the month. Now in its 24th year, the week is led by Sands - baby loss charity the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, alongside more than 140 organisations.
💙Together, they work to break the stigma around baby loss, campaign for better bereavement care, and remember babies lost during pregnancy, at birth, or shortly afterwards.
🕯️ Wave of LightOn 15 October at 7pm local time, people around the world will light a candle in memory of the babies they have lost. Share a photo and use to join in.
💟No matter how you classify your loss, you are not alone, you are seen and your loss matters...
