Former England Lioness and football icon Jill Scott is passing through the area as part of her epic 388-mile "Coming Home Challenge" for Sport Relief. Her route brings her on a marathon run down the A690 Durham Road on Friday, June 12 at around 9:25, where she will be making a pit stop at The Brewery Field leaving again around 10am, as she heads toward her final finish line at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland.

We are encouraging to line the streets to cheer her on and show support. Every mile she completes raises vital funds for Sport Relief-backed community projects across the UK.
