The deliberate beauty of the square frame. 🎞️🖤
The Mamiya C330 is a magnificent camera, and its 6x6 square format demands so much more from the photographer. Every composition must be intentional. The images that pass through those lenses and onto the film emulsion possess something both magical and deeply organic.
Where the modern world sees the "imperfections" of old technology compared to today's flawless, pixel-perfect digital screens, we see something entirely different. We see a black-and-white nostalgia for beauty found in the simplest of frames.
It is not about a lack of sharpness; it is about the presence of soul. ✨

When shooting on film, I don't look for perfection. I look for beauty. For me, analogue is the true photography—much like a painting, it demands patience before you can finally see the end result.
Digital photography is undeniably a wonderful invention. Yet, it strips away something vital from both the photographer and the viewer: the raw emotions tied to the creation itself. It skips the process. The anticipation, the wait, and the chemical alchemy are exactly what make every single frame on film evoke entirely unique feelings.
Capturing this legendary figure in Nottingham on black and white emulsion felt like bringing history back to life, untouched by the modern digital rush. 🖤

From Łódź to Skegness – running for the children's dreams. 🏃‍♂️💨Thousands of kilometers behind him, hundreds of hours battling weakness, and one single goal: to support children from orphanages in Łódź and Skegness. Here is a photo reportage from the exact moment Grzech crossed the finish line here in Skegness.
To capture the raw atmosphere of that moment—fatigue blended with pure pride—I chose the classic approach. I shot these images using a fully mechanical, analogue Ricoh KR-5 camera on black and white film.
In today's world of instant digital screens, working with film feels like pure alchemy. Stripping away the color allows us to focus entirely on raw emotion, but it is the anticipation of developing the film that creates the real magic. Looking at these frames weeks later changes everything. When the image finally appears on the emulsion, it allows you to revisit that place and those moments with fresh eyes. The emotions locked in the silver grains have time to mature, letting us relive that triumph all over again from a completely different perspective.
Hats off to you, Grzegorz. It was an absolute honor to immortalize this moment on traditional film. 📸

Doesn't Spalding look absolutely beautiful in these photos?
When you look at it from above, the night perspective completely changes the game. From this height, you can't see the endless road closures, roadworks, or the dreaded traffic jams we have to battle every single day.
Instead of the daytime chaos, there is only a sea of lights, absolute peace, and quiet. Drone magic really brings out a charm in our town that we often miss from behind the steering wheel.

2,000 KILOMETRES FOR CHILDREN'S SMILES! ŁÓDŹ ➡️ SKEGNESS

🇵🇱🇬🇧Check out these incredible drone shots captured just before the finish line in Skegness! This is exactly where, after running a grueling distance from Łódź, Grzegorz Pacho finalized his superhuman ultramarathon. The bird's-eye perspective perfectly highlights the final meters of this epic 2,000 km (1,250 miles) journey across 6 countries.

You will see the immense fatigue, the moments of crisis, but above all – Grzegorz's unbreakable spirit and pure joy at the finish line.

GRZEGORZ’S GREAT RUN — 1,200 MILES FOR CHILDREN
On Saturday, 5 September, Grzegorz completed an incredible journey.
Just 18 days earlier, he had set off from Łódź, Poland, with one enormous challenge ahead of him — to run 1,200 miles all the way to the UK.
But this wasn’t just about running or breaking a personal record.
Grzegorz was running for children, raising money for two children’s homes — one in Łódź, Poland 🇵🇱 and one in Skegness, UK 🇬🇧.
I had the privilege of being there at the finish line and capturing a few moments of this truly special day.
The exhaustion. The emotions. The smiles. The tears. The hugs. And that incredible moment when you realise that something almost impossible has finally been achieved.
These photographs are my small contribution to Grzegorz’s story.

When I visited The Stork's Nest Community Centre just a few days ago, it was completely quiet—empty rooms, a calm atmosphere, and a blank canvas.
Fast forward just 48 hours, and the transformation is unbelievable! I saw on Facebook that the place is now absolutely buzzing with energy. The community café is open, people are gathering, and you can already feel this space becoming the true heartbeat of the local community.
As a photographer, I love capturing how quickly a physical space can change when people finally bring it to life. Unfortunately, this time my health locked me in, and I couldn't go back to record this fantastic metamorphosis myself.
