🌸 BUCKETS OF BLOOMS ~ many buckets picked for diy wedding orders for tomorrows delivery, this week has been busy for buckets, not only us picking , but quite a few church ladies and brides have arrived over the last few days and probably been overwhelmed by the amount of choice available to them .. 1st week in September must be a popular choice for celebrations

🌷 PICK YOUR OWN TULIPS ~ announcement for 2027, yes we maybe still in summer mode but as flower farmers we are like retailers, and forward planning for the next season is a must!

🌷 this was the very first and last image of tulips we had growing on the new farm back in 2017, like previous years they all flowered at once and I decided it was not economical to grow tulips if I couldn’t sell them quick enough and so from then on I sourced them in from other British tulip growers instead.

🌷 But now I have changed my mind as I think this would be an excellent PYO opportunity for you all to bridge that gap between the narcissus and early summer field flowers 🙌

🌷 today we have been planning where we are putting them and we have found a fabulous supplier who can supply us with the most beautiful varieties like we had in the picture. I’m aiming for plenty of colour variations from parrots to fringed in soft or bright colours to suit all tastes

🌷 I know we shouldn’t wish time away, but let’s get excited for spring 😁🌷

🌸SEPTEMBER ~ despite the summer drought, there is still some beautiful blooms in the field , the dahlias in particular are growing bigger daily and the cut flower meadow is producing late varieties like cosmos & zinnias … even the roses I noticed yesterday are producing new buds! 🌸

🌸 I get messaged a lot about when we close for pyo, it’s usually end of October .. if the dahlias are keeping going, so are we 🙌

🌸 GORGEOUS WEDDING BOUQUET ~ to start the week, bank holiday was a busy one, lots of visitors to the farm to pick flowers, create terrariums and enjoy the surroundings

With schools heading back, it will quieten a little, but in September we are still visited by many who are on holiday with no school age children ~ it’s been a hot summer so I hope all the children have enjoyed it.

🍾 We have our 4th and last ‘Floral Brunch’ club this Saturday, we are completely sold out!! Which is fabulous.. if you missed out on this, don’t worry they will be back next year 🙌
