Freckles Floral Studio Hi, I am a florist with 12 years experience based in Thorpe Bay, Southend, Essex.

I run small floristry workshops from my own home as well as providing funeral and sympathy flowers, beautiful fresh & dried bouquets, wreaths and table arrangements.

What a lovely workshop today with 4 new ladies!

We practiced making a dome handtie by spiralling the flowers and then made a front facing little vase arrangement plus drinking tea and eating cake!

They were all naturals and produced some gorgeous arrangements.

I made these for a girls dancing performance and boxed them up for the customer to transport easier through the day.

How do I show kindness to myself as a florist?

Random question so please bear with….

If I’m making something brand new that requires a new style of wrapping or foam cut etc I always leave myself a template for next time!

I was making these gorgeous mini dried bouquets this week in paper and I made a template wrap for next time so I save myself looking back and trying to remember the size.

I always so grateful to myself for doing things like this 😍

🌾 Flower Markets over the summer 🌾

Due to so many things in the diary this summer with family meet ups, school transitions and weekends away it’s going to be tough to do a Saturday flower market again until September!!

But fear not, I will do some smaller markets in the week up to the school holidays so you can still pop down and choose some blooms.

The first one will be this Thursday 25th outside Broadway Fruits from 9.30am. I’ll make up bouquets while I’m there to sell for this weekend too!

Keep an eye out for other dates over the next month 😃
