Well it’s been a while since the Leigh Rock tribute night ended but I would recommend that you give this lot a go. If you are a fan of the music of Queen then you won’t be disappointed . A great night of entertainment for just £15 with licensed bar and loads of free parking. Check the diary it’s Saturday 2nd November

What a fantastic evening we had at Leigh Rock last night. A full house arrived early to see two great bands. Huge thanks to both The Long Run and Aladdinsane for giving us 3 hours of fantastic entertainment, it really was a cracking evening.
I would also like to thank Roger and Chris for providing brilliant sound and lighting, and all of the staff for making the night run smoothly. Of course as always the biggest thanks go to all of you for coming along and supporting local live music, we just couldn’t do it without you.
Neil and I are going to take a break from Leigh Rock for a while but we might be back at a later date. Thanks for all your support anspd see you all soon.

It’s Tonight! This is going to be a classy evening with two great bands, Get there early.
The Long Run are on at 8.00 for an hour followed by “Aladdinsane” playing all of your Bowie favourites.
There will be a few tickets available on the door and online at martinwoodevents.co.uk
All of the official seated at tables tickets have gone but there will be chairs available if you really need one.

Next Saturday will be the last “Leigh Rock” for the time being as both Neil and I need a rest.
However what a way to finish with the brilliant “Aladdinsane “ paying tribute to the music of David Bowie, and local legends “The Long Run” who are going to warm the crowd up with an hour of Glam Rock classics. It is going to be a busy night and I would advise you all to get there early as The Long Run will be on at 8 O’clock.

It’s less than 3 weeks before this much anticipated night of brilliant live music. “Aladdinsane” are probably the best tribute to the songs and music of David Bowie in the UK. It is a real pleasure to bring these guys to Leigh Community Centre and bring 5 years of “Leigh Rock to a close. As if this isn’t enough my favourite local band “The Long Run” will be playing an hour of Glam Rock classics as support.
Tickets are flying out so you need to :-
(a) Get your tickets either from the cafe at the Community Centre, Revolver Records in Southchurch Road, or online at martinwoodevents.co.uk
(b). Get there early as The Long Run will be on at 8 O’clock.

It’s only 4 weeks until the very last Leigh Rock at Leigh Community Centre. We are going out with a real bang with the magnificent “Aladdinsane” who will be bringing you all the hits from the vast back catalogue of David Bowie.
As if that isn’t enough we also have local legends “The Long Run” who will be playing an hour of Glam Rock classics. So get those tickets asap as you can imagine they are going fast, and make sure that you get there early. The Long Run will be on from 8.00 pm and glam rock dress is optional 😊

So after 5 years we are having a break from our Leigh Rock events but what a way to sign off. “Aladdinsane” are probably the best tribute to the music and sound of David Bowie around . They have been touring the country for many years and are part of the popular Fake Festival circuit.
