KIND WORDS - A SMALL HINDU WEDDING
I make no qualms in saying that Asian weddings are at the top of my favourite kind of weddings to plan. They are vibrant, beautiful, colourful, authentic and the cultural elements and rituals are just fabulous.
Last year, just when I thought it would be this year, my lovely couple decided to push ahead with their wedding during the restrictions. From 180 headcount down to 28 and 10 days’ notice to get back on board, I headed up for the lovely Poundon House in Oxfordshire for my couples wedding day.
Whilst I have planned small elopements, this was my first micro wedding as we have come to know them in 2020. It was fun, romantic, intimate, full of banter and so full of love. All their important nearest and dearest was there to help them celebrate and I was absolutely privileged to be a part of their amazing wedding journey.
Today, I just received a gorgeous card in the post that reminded me of all those happy memories that said
Dear Sian,
We’re sending this far later than intended, but as we approach our 1st wedding Anniversary, we’re remembering the joys day we had and what an important part of it you were!
Thank you so much for coming back on board for our covid wedding bat such short notice, for working the madness of the day and for making sure we had the perfect day!
We hope you have been keeping well over what has continue to be a turbulent time with the pandemic and that you are back in your element, sprinkling that BusyBride’s Fairy Dust over other couples big days.
Lots of love
