Been a bit busy over here at HQ... This is Brody, our second little bundle of fun 🩵. He arrived safely on the 23rd of May. We couldn't be more smitten and feel so grateful to have become a family of four.

He's promised he'll let me out of his sight to conduct this year's weddings from August onwards. 2024 couples - let's GOOOOO! 🥳

Surprise! 🩵

It's been a bit quiet over here from me on 'the gram', and for good reason...I'm delighted to say that I'm cooking up baby #2, due in May.

A HUGE thank you to the kind words I've had from all my couples, including those I sadly had to let down due to the timing! It was a real reminder of how incredible and lovely all my couples are.

My first couples' meeting took place yesterday and I am sooo gassed to be back to it. I'm still doing a small number of amazing weddings in 2024 , and I can't blimmin' wait!

I do have room for one or two more winter ceremonies this year. My 2025 books are open and filling up. Drop me a line sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment!

A wise 90's TV advert once said, "why have cotton when you can have silk?" 😂🍫 and I feel that in many ways sums up what makes a humanist wedding ceremony bloody brilliant. I mean, just LOOK at those faces!

Two separate guests, at two separate weddings, came up to me to say this recently.
I can't explain how much these words meant.
To me, this meant I had absolutely done your friend's/daughter's/cousin's/nephew's wedding ceremony justice after them trusting me with their love story.

Every ceremony I'm lucky enough do is a privilege, but there is something about childhood sweethearts that just hits different! Sarah & Thomas met when they were just 14 🥹❤️, so sharing their story today was...*chefs kiss!*

Let's talk about 'ring warmings'! 💍
It's probably the most requested symbolic act from my couples, and it's easy to see why!
In a ring warming, your wedding rings are passed amongst your guests during the ceremony to be held for a few seconds, and 'warmed' with their good wishes for the couple. When they return in time for the exchange of rings, they are not just a gift from each other, but also from all those people most important to them.
It's such a great way to involve your guests and give every person present a special role in your ceremony.
A box, bag or ribbon like this one will keep them safe while they are on their travels.
Not exchanging rings? This works well with any kind of jewellery or even handfasting cords if you're going down that route.

Your wedding ceremony shouldn't be "the boring bit" you get out of the way so you can go and enjoy the party. It should BE the very start of the party, setting the tone for the entire day. ❤
Rebecca & Henry's humanist ceremony ended up littered with (accidental) innuendos and cute anecdotes from their time together so far - just look at their wee beaming faces. 🥰
