I almost didn’t hit “post” because it didn’t feel perfect yet.
But here’s the truth: when you’re building something you desperately need yourself, perfectionism can become the biggest barrier.

As a parent, I started Sensory Seekers because I saw a huge gap. Children of all abilities needed inclusive spaces to explore their senses safely, and families needed somewhere private and welcoming to relax and connect.

Our pop-up sensory rooms have brought pure magic to events. We can attend birthday parties, weddings and even corporate spaces. Watching children light up with joy as they explore textures, lights, and sounds designed just for them is everything.

But my dream is bigger. I want to create a permanent venue with private sensory rooms that families can book for their child’s unique needs.

Some days, that dream feels so close I can almost touch it. Other days, I doubt if we’re “ready enough” to take that next step.

I caught myself recently thinking:
“Fix this first.”
“Make the pop-ups perfect.”
“Wait until everything is flawless.”

But then a parent said something that stopped me in my tracks:
“Don’t hold yourself back from helping families just because you don’t feel ready.”

That hit differently.

The truth is, our pop-ups aren’t perfect.
The permanent venue is still a dream.

But what we’re doing is real. It’s working. It’s helping.

We’re creating community, connection, and confidence, one pop up sensory room at a time. And that’s enough to keep going… and dreaming even bigger.

To any parent or professional wondering if you’re “ready enough” or if your efforts are “perfect enough”…

Hi, I’m Faye, the owner of Sensory Seekers. 👋🏻

I’m a mother to two boys, Jaxson and Oscar. They are cheeky boys and definitely keep me on my toes. My partner is Joe, he’s my everything. He supports me and encourages me to believe in my dreams 🫶🏼.

During the time I spent raising my babies to toddlers, I noticed a gap in the local market for private hire play spaces. So, I drafted my idea. It turned into a dream, and now it’s a full business plan with financial projections and budget spreadsheets. I’m excited for the future!
