J-Pedro Productions - Please welcome our Portsmouth based producer/mixing engineer JPedro . Working with a plenty of genres but mainly working within the Rock and Pop scene he has plenty of experience he can bring to the mixing desk ! Being a freelance worker he is able to work with artists either doing remote sessions or going to recording studio making an easy transition from the first day to the final product. To also support artists he takes his duties one step further by working from the writing stage all the way to the mixing stage to create the best possible final piece. Welcome to the first pyramid promotions review ! It will only be short as we will be getting a full review in the future but over here is a little taster !

Today we are reviewing JMYSTR new single Desire !!!

The song opens with a slow synthesised strings added with a heavy reverb drum sound. Creating a dreamy soundscape setting for the track. As Harry’s vocal enters he sits perfectly within the setting with a vocal tone that sweeps across the mids and fills out the verses. The space begins to fill toward the chorus as you hear a light electronic flute playing the melody line over the top of everything. The vocals push through to become the centre of attention in the chorus which is amplified by the change of drum beat. The second verse brings the listener back to the heavy reverb world spreading space through the mix. As a typical house song does, the chorus is repeated with doubled up vocals and a buzz typed sub bass helps the song push through the final climax . After the chorus each layer of the song begins to decay and leaves the listener in the loop as we are left where we began with the string soundscape. This song takes the listeners into the realm of deep house with brilliant production , especially with the use of space and the vocal quality !

Please welcome our next artist the singer/songwriter Molly Mckinna !!! 'Molly is based in Guilford and is an amazing addition to the Guilford music scene. Playing a classic acoustic guitar accompanied by soft and warm vocal tone creates a dreamy sequence in a listeners mind and is perfect to slip away to and lose yourself in the music. Described by Steph from BBC introducing as having 'stunning and mesmerizing' vocals , she captures and controls her sound creating her mark in the acoustic scene ! Communicating her passion of music taking influences from older musicians, such as fleetwood mac, and combining it with modern day acts such as, Lewis Watson and early Gabrielle Aplin, leaves with a personalised sound this deserves many listens ! She excels both on recording and in live scenarios with her captivating music and keep an eye out in the future to see her play live ! This producer and artist takes the minimlastic side of R&B music and combines it with key features of modern EDM included moving , custom , synthesiser sounds which are tailor made to each track ! Taking influence from acts such as The Weeknd, BANKS and Tycho ( Both lyrically and on a production front) Equals catchy , hybrid originated , new music which we all love ! Back in the swing of things now. Please welcome the technical wizardry which is Exploder Than You ! This Math punk band from Brighton takes the classic punk sound makes it a hell of a lot more technical and amazing to listeners worldwide. Guiding their sound with such acts as Blakfish , Tubelord and Johnny Foreigner they take technical guitars and syncopated rhythms with pristine time changes and tempo changes. These guys are amazing and create such a presence whilst on stage both with their booming sound and also recently working with acoustics with everyones favourite instrument , the one and only triangle solo ! His main influences are Hopsin , Futuristic , Montana 300 and adding his own elements to create his sound. Tonight please welcome this amazing band from London ! The Yacht Club all started from the member Marcus expanding a solo project he was working on ! These guys are an alternative indie/emo act and play amazing music with that ! Tackling both well executed technical music highlighting the skill of every member of the band , to soft acoustics revealing the incredible vocal range and deeper meaning behind the songs. This band mainly take influence from the Chicago act; Into it. Over it , Enemies and American Football! They bring a emo/indie fusion of their own into all there tracks ! I had the personal pleasure to tour with this act and they can make the room fall silent in awe of their sound ! Back from tour so all back to normal ! Lets kick things off with the indie math-pop band FES uk from Peterborough. This three piece takes indie pop vibe and combines it with syncopated rhythms across the band and then with a layer of indie inspired vocals over the top combines creating an amazing sound !
