Where I am now...😊 and where I plan to be for always 💙 the last 19months I have been working full time at Trinity wi******er - an amazing charity for homeless and venerable people. Our aim in the kitchen is to provide good, nutritional home cooked food for every single person ..whilst helping our lovely client's that join us in the kitchen to gain confidence, selfworth and to be proud to be part of what we produce daily..🫶
I will be changing my catering page to show everyone what we do in our busy kitchen ( logo etc will change soon too😊) we can provide between 50 - 90 hot meals a day mainly based on donations...some days we really do scratch our heads and wonder what we can come up with! Haha but we do...its a team effort..( and of course using our trusted Mary Berry books - god bless her!🥰🙌)
As well as our lovely regular corporate voluteers we have our long term kitchen volunteers....who join us weekly and have been linked to Trinity for many years..we love them..and they bring wisdom, warmth and knowledge💙
Donations - we never know what's coming...but we're grateful for every tin, box or crate. We aim for zero waste, where we can, we use it straight away or we blanch and freeze ( with Mary berry's advice ovs👌😄) we can get a call to come and pick up surplus food asap...and we're off 🏃♀️😊
Have you ever walked through the doors of somewhere and thought to yourself..this is where I'm supposed to be - let's do this... believe me there's been tears...and the first few months I struggled with seeing despair , pain and sadness and the stories I heard people's life journeys, from all walks of life...
But I have also witnessed some of the most Beautiful acts of kindness... selflessness and care of humanity from clients and staff I have ever seen...all under one roof 🥰 plus...and this is a huge huge perk for me, is that I get to have lots of cuddles from all our visiting dogs...they skid up to the door of our kitchen with a smile of their faces I swear! 😄 I'm their human aunty💖
