More traders required for the Children's Market At Itchen Valley Country Park

This will be our 3rd event this year at Itchen Valley Country Park.

The Country park are running a children's nearly new market, and we have an opportunity to have some of our baby & child focused traders as part of the event too.

📅 Sunday 5th July
🕙 10am-3pm
📍Itchen Valley Country Park, Allington Lane, West End, Southampton SO30 3HQ

We will only be looking for stalls suitable for babies, toddlers and children.

3mx3m pitch £40 (£25 for children's charities).

This is a popular venue with families on a weekend, and the addition of a teddy bears picnic, activities and story telling should attract even more visitors than normal.

We will be on the grass near the park/bbq area so all traders will require their own commercial grade gazebo with weights.

£5m PL insurance is also required.

Car parking is charged at £5.20 for the day.

Group members have 24 hours exclusivity on booking, after which we will open it up outside of our network.

The annual West End Summer West End Family Funday and Dog Show is this weekend!

This is a FREE event by West End Parish Council and supported by Dream Empire Events LTD.

Hampshire Police have issued a warning to residents after a series of incidents in which sellers on online marketplaces were paid with counterfeit banknotes.

Reports have come from across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, with victims discovering fake notes only after buyers had left with their goods.

Officers say some offenders are mixing one or two counterfeit notes into bundles of genuine cash, making the fraud harder to spot during quick doorstep transactions.

The warning applies to anyone accepting cash whether through Facebook Marketplace, car boot sales, tabletop sales, summer fetes, or when buying and selling vehicles.

The Bank of England has reminded the public that counterfeit notes cannot be reimbursed, stressing the importance of checking banknotes carefully before accepting them.

Call 999 if a crime is in progress, you feel at risk, or evidence may be lost.

Residents can also sign up for Hampshire Alert to receive local policing updates. Police are urging people to share this warning with friends, family and neighbours especially those who regularly buy or sell items online.
