Showman Event Support is a well-established event and conference production company based in Gaydon, Warwick looking to recruit a bright, enthusiastic, hardworking team player to join our team.
Trainee Event Technician
The successful candidate will be required to assist in the day to day operations of this busy active events team. The applicant needs to enjoy the challenge of physical work with a hands-on approach and is prepared to work unsociable hours when required. Some practical skills would be advantageous but training will be given to the right candidate with a can do attitude.
Duties will include:
Set covering, stage construction and breakdown
Working with our team to check and set up sound and lighting equipment
Assisting specialists with general audio visual requirements and computer equipment
A variety of manual handling tasks including loading and unloading vans and trucks
Regular working hours are 9am - 5.30pm for preparation in our warehouse facilities in Gaydon but are often longer when the events are on. They then involve longer hours, some weekend and evening work and working away from home as required. Time off in lieu is given for additional hours worked.
Experience is not essential as training will be given. Own transport is essential due to location and variable hours.
