Here at Williby Roc’s CIC, we aim to increase community inclusion to develop and use local green space for play, therapy and learning. We want to provide inspiring and engaging environmental education sessions to all, in particular socially excluded and hard to reach groups. We want support people to increase their connection to nature and provide opportunities to be part of positive community pro

jects to boost confidence and holistic well-being. Our top priority and main focus is positive mental health and we offer support groups to help reduce isolation and increase everyone’s connection to nature and each other. People who attend our sessions will explore their imaginations and take away ideas on how to reuse everyday natural and waste items, making wonderful creations and magical memories. We will show you how to use natural resources to play and craft with which cost little or nothing to gather. We want to encourage outdoor play and discovery for everyone through fun and engaging sessions. We offer a huge range of sessions for all ages and have recently used our skills and experience to set up outdoor mental health support groups where people learn new skills, support one another and experience the therapeutic benefits of Mother Nature. We are constantly evolving to ensure we are delivering exactly what our local community needs and learning new skills to ensure we have everything we need to support them. We hold Enhanced DBS checks and public liability insurance up to £5 million.

Some lovely pictures of the dragon parade we were part of which is part of the annual Jarrow festival!
Many thanks to the children and families from the 5th Jarrow Brownies, Jarrow Hall and Bilton Hall Believe and Achieve Community Network who created a beautiful series of flags and to all the families that turned up on the day to help walk the flag too! 🐉

What are you all doing tomorrow?

Why don’t you and the family come along to this years annual Jarrow Festival at Jarrow Hall where we will be parading this beautiful dragon through the park and up to Jarrow Hall for a day of fun and celebration!

Children and families from the 5th Jarrow Brownies, Jarrow Hall and Bilton Hall Believe and Achieve Community Network have created a beautiful series of flags celebrating Jarrow, dragons and everything in between and will displaying their creations in the Dragon Parade at 12pm. There may even be an opportunity for your child to take part in the parade - please see the link below with more details on how to get involved and all of the fabulous activities taking place!

Celebrating World Bee day 🐝 with some of the yr5 children at Harton Primary School. Today in the allotment the kids created a a heart shaped raised bed adding lots of wildflower seed for our busy buzzy friends 🐝. They also made their own seed bombs, planted sunflower seeds, created some colourful signs and continued with garden maintenance. All in the ☀️ 🫶 🧡 🐝

So much fun at LITTLE BUDS - Outdoor Playgroup! As World Bee Day is tomorrow will be celebrating it at all the sessions this week, by adding lots a wildflower seeds and planting bee friendly plants in the garden. This is part of a project we are running with funding from the the Asda Foundation. 🌸🐝🦋🌼🌻🌺🪻☀️ 💦

This morning the children worked together to add lots of wildflower seed and enjoyed watering all the lovely seeds into the soil! They also had the chance to make seed bombs, help make bee hotels and plant their own sunflowers to take home 🌻

5th Jarrow Brownies hit the ball well out the park last night with their amazingly colourful and beautiful dragon designs for this years upcoming Jarrow Festival’s Dragon Parade!

We always love working with these guys, such a lovely community, who all love to colour in! It was a super relaxing session, where the girls all chatted while they created, therapeutic colouring at its finest ✏️

The Dragon Parade will take place on the 24th May at 12pm at Charlie’s Park!

Please get in touch if you would like to take part and help walk our dragon through the procession 🐉
