We’re delighted to be opening the stage to the next generation of musical theatre stars with Takeover Showstoppers, a brand-new platform for emerging performers to take the spotlight, hosted by the very fabulous Glen Richard Townsend.
We’re looking for 20 finalists who would deliver their show-stopping songs from iconic musicals on the night. From heartfelt ballads to big belters, each performer will have their moment to shine and will be singing not just for the audience, but for a panel of industry professionals who’ll be choosing their standout performers of the night. Judges include Kelly Anders, CEO of our very own Customs House, and highly experienced and exceptional performers, Helen French and Steven Lee Hamilton.
We have three categories based on age:
* Aged 11-13 – Performing a song from a piece of musical theatre (up to 2 minutes)
* Aged 14-19 – Performing a song from a piece of musical theatre (up to 2 minutes)
* Aged 20-25 – Performing a song from a piece of musical theatre (up to 2 minutes)
Chosen songs will need to be appropriate for audiences of all ages, so please bear this in mind when choosing your song.

The winner from each category will take home a framed certificate, and cash prize of £100 and each categories runner up will receive a £50 ticket voucher for The Customs House, and a framed certificate.
We expect a high demand of submissions, which means we won’t be able to offer individual feedback if you are not selected.
