Your Special Occasion in Our Beautiful House and Gardens. From weddings to big Birthdays, you can create your perfect day.

Welcome to the historical Old Bridge, a 16th Century Elizabethan manor house, located in rural Somerset. Surrounded by two acres of enchanting grounds and gardens, it is the perfect setting for your special occasion. Old Bridge is built with the local, honey coloured Ham Stone and has a wonderfully warm and unique character. It is our pleasure for us to share it with those of you who would like to

enjoy the property as a majestic backdrop to a memorable celebration. We are entirely focused on your special day. Our events will never overlap to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible. You will have exclusive use of the marquee, gardens and grounds for your event allowing you to arrange all the proceedings as you wish. You will have access to the venue the day before your event to prepare and install your decorations and also on the day after to clear down and collect any belongings. Old Bridge is a perfect venue for gatherings both large and small. Our marquee can be partitioned to accommodate smaller parties. All of the facilities we provide are flexible and can be moulded to fit your needs. From 2017, we will open the main hall in the house with a licence for Marriages. You also have the freedom to arrange your preferred food, drink and entertainment exactly as you wish and an added bonus – we don’t charge corkage or VAT.

It’s feeling chilly and festive at Old Bridge.

They’re in South Petherton, so very local!

Probably our last pick for this year.

September hasn’t been kind to the flowers. It’s been wild, wet and windy for most of this month.

But we’ll be back bigger and better in the spring with even more flowers.

We’re increasing our growing space from 28 to 84 beds.

Which means we’ll be able to supply wholesale to florists.

If you’re planning DIY flowers for a wedding or other celebration next year, get in touch. We’ll be doing large buckets of flowers that you can arrange yourselves.

We’ll also still sell our bunches from the gate, and through local markets and shops.

Thanks to everyone who has bought flowers from us this year. We’ve enjoyed meeting you all.

From us all at Old Bridge, we’d like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas 🎄, filled with lots of food, drink, joy and laughter!!

We like to make good use of the ceremony room during the winter months, whilst we’re not hosting weddings. Instead with fill it with a lot of family and an awful lot of noise!!!
