🌜TONIGHT! Acoustic/Performers Night at THE DAVID HALL
SUN | 23 | AUG | 7.30PM

Entry is FREE but we do ask for donations to cover the cost of heating and lighting The Hall.

Suggested minimum donation: £1 for Performers and £2 Audience. Please donate on the night.

This is a great evening full of extraordinary skill, talent and variety. All types of performance welcome – The David Hall has had music, comedy, poetry, dance…. even bagpipes. All have the opportunity to deliver for 10 – 15 minutes with full PA and lighting system.

These evenings are becoming increasingly popular and there is a risk that we won’t be able to accommodate everyone. So, if you’re a performer, then please book ahead rather than just turning up and expecting to get a spot. It doesn’t matter if you’re a musician. poet, juggler or …… well, any kind of performer. just be entertaining!

South West–born singer-songwriter Ro Clark performs original folk songs with piano and guitar alongside guitarist Miles Stringer. Having wandered through life a little lost, dipping her toes into ponds far too big, her songwriting is rooted in reflection, emotional honesty, and the quiet search for connection.

Influenced by the voice of Joan Baez and the writing of Adrianne Lenker, Ro's songs blend poetic lyricism with stories of first love, homesickness, and the small moments that quietly shape our lives. Her music moves between tender folk songwriting and jazz-influenced harmony, creating performances that feel intimate, warm, and deeply human.

Together with Miles Stringer's textured guitar accompaniment, Ro creates live performances grounded in sincerity, warmth, and thoughtful musicianship.

Influenced by figures such as Merle Travis, Chet Atkins and Tommy Emmanuel, he has released three solo albums, including “A Sunset Wine” (2019), “Iago Banet” (2022) and “TRES” (2023), and he has carried out several highly successful tours throughout the UK, which have included multiple sell-out shows and a fantastic reception from audiences.

Banet has built a reputation as a solo artist in what is known as ‘fingerstyle', showcasing new levels of skill and complexity and receiving outstanding reviews in the process. He has appeared on BBC Radio 3 In Tune twice and has featured on BBC Radio 2's The Blues Show with Cerys Matthews.
