Lovely sunset over Touts Garden this evening. Getting ready this week for a wedding this coming weekend. Couldn't resist planting bulbs this afternoon though followed by a dog walk on the moor 🤗

I'm looking for some waiters/waitresses to work with me throughout the winter season. Need to be local to Sth Molton and have own transport. Shifts will be some lunches/dinners. Ideally I'd have a pool of 3 helpers available. Would suit someone already working part time to add some extra hours. Experience preferable.
Duties will be serving food to guests, clearing and some washing up. Also help with me plating up and some food prep.

Lovely surprise 50th birthday party hosted at Touts Garden, my special place and allotment. Food by Jim Bellieni, flowers by Crown and Cotton. Tents on loan. Hard work by plenty!! Wonderful BBQ’d late lunch, followed by cake and bonfire and lots and lots of booze!
Peonies galore....and lots of lovely dogs too!

Lovely dinner for 12 to celebrate an 80th birthday last night! The birthday boy wanted Beef Wellington and so that’s what he got!!
Menu was
Filo parcels with fig, whipped goat’s cheese, honey and walnuts
Crispy salmon cakes with lime and chilli
Beef Wellington with D’auphinoise
Pan fried monkfish with lemon and asparagus
Bread and butter pudding
Dark chocolate and pecan brownies with berries
Selection of wonderful cheeses, coffee and chocolates 👌
Birthday boys comments ‘Camilla, you have gone above and beyond our expectations’ !!

The summer was very busy, most of the time spent farming and toiling the land. Had a bumper crop of amazing tomatoes, wonderful butternut squash, tons of cucumbers, blueberries and strawberries were great too.
We built a canopy roof over the caravan (mission control) to give it some longevity of life and some updating to the interior... some pics of that follow

Sorry, I’ve been a bit slack in posting stuff. Too busy to be honest! So a quick update on recent happenings since the end of summer.
On Aug 31st my 5th season started at Heasley House.
