After months of glorious, seemingly endless sunshine, there was more than a little nervous checking of weather apps in the days leading up to this weekend’s weddings, but as is so often the case, the things we worry about beforehand simply become part of the story afterwards.
Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of coordinating Issy & Clayton’s beautiful wedding — and what a fabulous day it was ❤️
The setting was incredible. A beautiful manor house and gardens, an amazing marquee filled with twinkling lights, gorgeous flowers, wonderful food, personalised cocktails and, most importantly, a room full of people who had come together to celebrate two people they love.
And despite what the skies decided to throw at us, everything came together exactly as it needed to.
That is one of the things I love most about wedding coordination. A wedding day has so many moving parts — timings, suppliers, guests, food, drinks, weather and all those little details that have been planned for months. My job is to quietly keep everything moving, deal with whatever happens along the way and make sure the couple and their families don’t have to worry about any of it.
After a busy few days, I’m reflecting this morning on a weekend that could so easily have been dominated by worries about the weather — but instead has been full of fun, friendship, love and memories being made ❤️✨
