VACANCY - Kitchen Assistant

Kitchen Assistant
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our busy kitchen team. This is a full-time position (35-37 hours per week), working 5 days out of 7. The role is varied and hands-on, involving work in our kitchen as well as supporting off-site events.

Key Responsibilities:
• Food preparation and cooking in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Serving customers in our café
• Supporting and waiting at events, including set-up and service
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety

Location:
The role will be primarily based at our unit in Somerton, with occasional travel to events across Somerset.

About You:
• You work well as part of a team and have strong communication skills
• You are able to stay calm and work effectively under pressure in a busy environment
• You can use your initiative and remain focused on tasks
• You have a positive, “can-do” attitude and a strong work ethic
• You are self-motivated with good time management skills, especially when working to tight deadlines
• You have good customer service skills and enjoy working with people
• You enjoy food preparation & presentation

Previous experience in a busy kitchen or in a customer-facing role would be an advantage, but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

A full UK driving licence is preferred, but is not essential.

VACANCY -Multi skilled position:

We are looking for a reliable and motivated candidate to join our team for up to 16 hours per week.
Working Hours:
We are looking for someone to join us for 12-16 hours over 3-4 days per week on a permanent basis.

Role Overview:
The responsibility within this role is varied, we a looking for someone who can turn their hand to many jobs such as stock control, delivery driving and ad hoc maintenance when required. This role will require a flexible candidate who can get stuck in and work independently as well as part of a team. All deliveries are made in a company vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:
• Receiving deliveries, stock rotation and stock management
• Making deliveries safely and efficiently across designated routes
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed on time while providing a professional and friendly service at delivery locations
• Maintaining cleanliness and basic checks of the company vehicles
• Ad hoc maintenance at our unit

About You:
• Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
• Positive “can-do” attitude with a strong work ethic
• Focused and able to manage time effectively
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Flexible, conscientious & willing

Requirements:
• Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
• Must be over 21 years of age (for insurance purposes)
