Established in 2014, we travel around Yorkshire serving really yummy, properly homemade food alongside some seriously good coffee! Marcel is our lovingly self-restored 1955 van who makes a real statement wherever he goes. Follow us to keep up to date with where we will be next or check out the website for booking information. Currently CLOSED for maternity leave so not taking any new bookings for 2025.

Happy Easter!
Absolutely loved being back in the woods, serving up all that makes us happy ☀️ Gorgeous to see lots of happy faces and regulars too! It’s always a challenging job, making really good coffee a mile into the woods comes with some unique challenges 😂 lots of stock logistics behind the scenes, wild weather to contend with, fallen trees, power and signal hiccups are guaranteed at times, but on the whole everything went pretty smoothly and were really proud of what we served up. We know what to expect now and feel ready for any challenge that comes our way! 🌳 Thanks to our amazing baristas, the lovely welcoming team and our extremely helpful suppliers too! It’s a massive team effort and everyone pays a huge part in bringing it together. All fingers crossed we will be back in October for the Halloween Trail! 🧙‍♀️🎃👻

Mini Egg Flapjack on the counter (hopefully) everyday til we finish on Sunday. Thank you to the lady who posted about it on ‘s post cos everyone has been coming down asking for it!! It’s always a winner - gooey, chewy, crispy and crunchy with some mega chocolate chunks, mini egg chocolate bar and mini eggs on top, Easter heaven! 🙌

Lovely to be back at the coffee machine and even lovelier to see the woods being enjoyed by loads of families this weekend, even today in the pouring rain! Looking forward to another week in the forest! Open 10-4 everyday at the Strid til Sunday! ☕️ 🐣 ☀️

Well well well a pretty naff start to our trading time here in the woods - having to close for 3 days as I got ill 😩 it was such bad timing but also just one of those things and nothing I could do about it….so we move on! Thank you for everyone’s messages they really made me smile, I think everyone knew how excited I was about getting back in my van 🙈 Anywayyyyy, the great news is we are BACK and ready and raring for the remainder of our time here at Bolton Abbey. We still have 9 days left so we’re here to make the most of them! If you haven’t got any plans this weekend or next week, add the Easter Trail to your to do list 🐣 we are here at the end of it with mountains and mountains of cake, lovely coffees and huge hot chocolates, perfect treats to balance out all that walking 🤗

Easter is here!
We are down at Bolton Abbey Strid Woods starting tomorrow, we couldn’t quite manage the whole stint as the event is on for a month but we are sharing it with our good friends at The Little Yorkshire Coffee Co who take over on Easter Monday.
Me and my little helper have been busy for weeks now, deep cleaning, getting things fixed, restocked, baking, more baking, many many trips to the wholesalers and putting even more finishing touches to the van. The to do list has gone from about 70 things to 0 and that is a very good feeling, so we’re ready to go go go and get making some great drinks and sharing all this lovely baking we’ve been doing!!

£80! Is what this little lot cost me. Some mini eggs and Maltesers.
Had a little rant on stories the other day while looking round the wholesalers and seeing so many basics needed for baking that have double, tripled, some quadrupled in price while I’ve been off this last year and a bit. I have absolutely no idea how some businesses have made it work, especially those working with chocolate….hats off to you, this stuff has skyrocketed.
I’m just wondering 2 things - as a customer would you rather the quality stay the same but pay more or do you feel there’s a ceiling price for treats you’d buy and you’d be ok with a little sacrifice in quality, or size maybe? 🍰
As a baker - thank you for those who sent me supplier suggestions - if you have any more that you don’t mind sharing I would love to hear!!!
I do (much to my dismay) have to buy stuff from supermarkets sometimes but the quality is not the same. It also means you’re adding labour time taking everything out of millions of tiny plastic packets 😩 and chopping it up. Switching suppliers constantly means you have to update your allergen lists and most wholesalers require a substantial minimum order to get the good prices.
Maybe I need to go back to my classic lemon drizzle roots! But the chocolate is always the first to sell.
Help me out guys!
