3 big agricultural shows done and dusted in 10 days! Gargrave - Malham - Kilnsey. Epic amount of coffees, hot chocolate, good old cups of tea. Hours of baking and mountains of cakes. These events never disappoint and we look forward to them all year round. Obviously I hardly took any photos so this is the best an come up with (including me and Anna turning up to work in the same top 👏😅)
I think we could have done a loyalty card as there was definitely some customers that could have filled them over the course of one or two shows!! As we trade next to lots of other local businesses its great to get to know them but also after 13 years its lovely that we have regulars at these events too - people who will make a beeline across the field as soon as they’re through the gate to get their caffeine fix, makes all the hard work worth it☀️
These are such lovely events, brimming with community spirit made to celebrate the extremely hardworking people who dedicate their lives to rearing beautiful livestock, but also everything countryside from the amazing crafts, jams and prize winning vegetables. Teams of people, vastly voluntarily put in many many hours to make these shows happen and its great to see them so well attended, crowds enjoying the best of the great outdoors, kids getting muddy and playing on hay bales and farmers having a well earned day off and letting their hair down! A real celebration of country life makes us proud to live where we do. So if you’ve never been to one before thats my sales pitch for next summer 😂
