🍻 What a Weekend at the Village Hall!

It was fantastic to see the hall absolutely buzzing for Carleton Beer Fest last weekend - full tables, busy bar, live music, laughter and a real community atmosphere.

Events like this are exactly what the hall is here for: bringing people together and helping raise money for good causes locally. We’re proud to have hosted such a brilliant fundraiser, with proceeds going back into supporting community groups and activities in the village.

A huge thank you to everyone who organised, volunteered, performed, sponsored and came along to support.

Here’s to many more full halls and successful community events! 🍺✨

🎲 New Social Games Group – Interested? 🏓♠️

Several responses to our recent Village Hall survey mentioned table tennis, card games and board games - so we’re exploring the idea of starting a relaxed, friendly daytime Games Club.

The idea?
A regular get-together where people can drop in for a game of table tennis, share a favourite board game, play cards, and enjoy a cuppa and a chat.

Before we take it further, we’d love to know:

👉 Would you come along to something like this?
👉 Would you be willing to be part of a small team to help get it started and keep it running?

We’d need a few people happy to regularly:

Help set up tables and chairs
Welcome people as they arrive
Make refreshments
Look after petty cash
Pick up basic supplies for drinks and snacks
Help lock up afterwards

Nothing complicated - just a bit of shared effort so it doesn’t fall to one person.

If you’re interested (either as a player or helper), comment below or send us a message.

If there’s enough interest, we’ll make it happen.
