KATIE & NICK The Preparation… a beautiful soft palette of summer blooms. Katie wanted to keep the flowers seasonal and reflecting the countryside around the Dales. With a family ceremony to gather their nearest and dearest, the couple married at Grassington House followed by an intimate dinner. Later they continued the celebrations at Skipton Golf Club.

It’s been so fantastic to work with Katie who trusted me with her ideas and I must say a big thank you to Susan Rudden and the team at Grassington House who looked after me so well whilst I set up the flowers. Looking forward to seeing the day captured by

And just like that… so many photos to update but and share little garden and countryside wonders. But for the last half of July I made myself be in it, not just watching through a lens. It was a hot one, extremely challenging, relaxing 🇮🇹and filled with my favourite people and animals.

POSTCARDS FROM ITALY
Part Tre Tuscany ~ it was hard just to post about the flora and fauna on this leg of our journey. As it was not only its sheer natural beauty that took our breath away. But the history and the people. We stayed .palazzo_ and had such a special time, staying at the Winery and Olive farm, both using it as a base to explore the area; but also coming back to cool off in their crystal pool. Have dinner with the other guests on the panoramic terrace watching the sun setting over our hosts Vines and Olive groves. With homegrown and local produce each night, while we made our way through their wines, it was the perfect stay. The owners and staff made us so welcome, it was run with passion and a love of the land.

The mornings were spent exploring hill top villages, towers, cypress lined roads trodden by gladiators themselves. Windy roads, thermal springs and rustic pasta dishes. Sitting out a welcome thunderstorm in San Gimignano after making it down in time from the highest remaining tower and taking in stunning vistas.

Tuscany you were a feeling, one we will hold onto x

Sweet Peas 🫛 I love them, can you tell. The scent especially after a shower of rain is just something else. I grow them mainly for my Bridal bouquets but also simply for little bunches of total joy!
More smellivision , less wellivision.
