The road is now open! Whoop whoop 🙌

RUINS BARN ROAD NOW OPEN. Following some Road closures in April the main access road to the club closed completely 3.5.25 until today 28.6.25. It has remained closed for emergency gas repairs with very limited alternative access and no footpath. We thank all our customers that have tried to continue supporting us through this period but fully understand the many cancellations and reduced attendances this has brought about. Without doubt the most difficult period the club has had in the 25 years we have been the custodians. Huge thank you to both our local MPs for their help in keeping up the pressure to get it back open and special thanks to our Council Leader Tim Gibson for keeping up the pressure to reopen quickly. A dear friend of the club has a huge party today let's hope it's the first day of the return of the feel good factor that usually we are associated with.

🧠 QUIZ NIGHT AT THE HOP SHED 🧠

Join us on Saturday 21st June from 6.30pm for our first ever General Knowledge Quiz Night with quiz master James ‘Jimbo’ Roberts, who runs one of the largest regular quizzes in the county.

Enjoy a Middle Eastern-inspired feast from the Macknade kitchen – including koftas, dips, flatbreads and vibrant salads.

The WILD BOX bar will be open, serving up craft cocktails, local wine, draught beer and spirits.

£20 gets you entry to the quiz and your full meal – a great night out with friends.

Notice: Ruins Barn Road is closed (again) so we will all have to travel either into Bredgar and come back towards Woodstock OR travel into Highsted Valley and come up the steep hill (broadoak road). Hopefully see you later

I am a very lucky boy to have such a great bunch of quizzers 💝. Honestly I really do appreciate you all. Writing the quiz is the real work because presenting quiz nights are such a blast!!! Last nights Christmas quiz was very special. I changed the style from previous years and it ran so much smoother in my opinion. Everyone appeared to have such a fantastic time! Really makes me emotional when I see how much enjoyment you get out of them throughout the year.

Thanks ever so much for the Christmas tips. Myself and the girls will pop out for a few drinks and nibbles with the gratuities! I am made up! ❤️

Amazing efforts raising around £1800 for charity this year too! You really are a special bunch!

Have a lovely Christmas and seasons greetings to you all. See you on January 6th and 13th for the first two in the new year.

Very unexpected but we have one table free for the Christmas Quiz. £9 per person, every team wins a prize, hot, cold buffet, chocolates, mice pies and cream for nibbles. Get in the festive spirit. Come and join us and take the very rare final table that’s left!!! 7:45pm start and table must be booked. First come first served!

Penultimate quiz of the year and that means it’s nearly time for Christmas Quiz!! Could I get as close to final numbers for each booked team as possible please as I will be finishing my purchasing of prizes and Christmas food orders will be going in next week.

Need to know (note the earlier start)….

Monday 16th December, 7:45pm start, £9 per head. Every team wins a prize! Extra Christmas food including mince pies and cream, chocolates and nuts per table. Appropriate Christmas outfits please 😜⛄️🧑‍🎄🎄

A massive thank you to all who turned up for last nights Charity quiz. We were entertained with a great insight in what the ladies went through in their charity row across the Atlantic Ocean. You are such a generous bunch. We raised around £800 for the evening. A huge thanks to Katherine, Bill and Brenda for their organisation on the raffle. Hopefully see you all again next Monday.
