As part of the Eric Morecambe 100 celebrations, artistic partnership Anthony Haddon and Rich Berry are looking for 100 people to take part in a large-scale performance art tribute ‘skipping’ out on the bay – creating a joyful and unforgettable piece of imagery celebrating Morecambe’s most famous son.

Happy weekend listeners!! The weather in the Lakes has been a bit WILD this week but I still love being out in the wild.. Great for the soul and in this weather you definitely feel alive!! So my theme on Monday is WILD - loving wild places, being wild, dancing and living like no one is watching!! Think Iggy Pop, Duran Duran, The Troggs and Paul Weller to name but a few! There will be the usual mix of local news, weather, travel and my ponderings on living and loving the wild!

With ‘flaming June’ arriving on Monday (how has it got here so fast!?! 😳) my thoughts turn towards holidays.. ok, so it’s a bit early but I’m having one anyway!! This weeks show is pre recorded whilst I’m away.. But I’ll be thinking of you all and sending a virtual postcard.. so the theme is ‘correspondence’ tunes include the Carpenters, Elvis, The Police and Carly Rae Mash!! What a fabulous day today!! I’ve relaunched my (ah herm….) ‘running career!’ I am 56, my knees hurt a lot going up n down stairs, I nearly died in January, I’ve had back surgery twice.. This is possibly madness but oh how I love running on the hills (think jog/dawdle/admire the views and be thankful for gate stoppage!!) I wasn’t sure I’d ever be able to run again so today is special! It’s on here in case it inspires anyone who thinks they can’t do something to maybe just try.. I’m doing Couch to 5k - I have lost count of the amount of times I’ve started this!! But today is a good day. I’m counting my blessings (twice!!) xx

“It’s a beautiful dawn, it’s a beautiful day…” (not quite feeling good yet but I’m doing ok and that’ll do just now… )😍 Birds are singling their hearts out and it’s the full worm moon and blood moon today and it’s a stunning sunrise!! And I am not focussing on the crazy stuff in the world I cannot control.. I’m focussing on what I can control and appreciate.. And I am sending love.. I have experienced such kindness and love this last five weeks… It is in this world in abundance, we just don’t hear enough about it.. But we must!! Sending love and sunshine and asking you all to notice kindness and to offer it in any way you can.. ###

Hello lovely listeners and followers! Apologies for the prolonged radio silence (literally!) but almost three weeks ago my appendix burst, which went undiagnosed for a week, resulting in peritonitis, complex emergency surgery and a long hospital stay in Lancaster Infirmary!! Thanks to the medical team that literally saved my life!!! ❤️ I’m still under hospital monitoring from home as my abdomen is still infected.. Sooo… it’s gonna be a while before I’m back on air with you! But like Arnie, I will be back!! In the meantime, I’m looking for glimmers of joy as Spring slowly heads our way!! Cuddling my furry therapists and counting my blessings twice! Much love and sunshine ☀️ xx
