We have had a wonderful start to our academic year here at EDDA.

We have packed in lots of exciting things. Performances ,exam results, presentation awards, workshops, welcoming new dancers and so much more.

We now have our half term break and when we return we have the excitement of starting show work.

We can’t wait for all the amazing things we have planned for the rest of the year.

We would like to wish former pupil Amelie Ford good luck.
She plays today in the final of the IBSA Blind Football World Championship on the England womens team, in India.

Amelie danced with us from a very young age until a few years ago, then she furthered her education in Wales.

Wishing you lots of luck Amelie, this really is an incredible achievement.
We hope all those years of dance classes, exams and shows, help a little bit today.

World mental health day.

I think so many of us have dance as our escape, enjoyment and safe place.
A time for us to push ourselves, be the best we can be, in a happy environment with people we trust.

A chance to be with friends, peers, teachers and people who love what we love.

EDDA will always be there for our dancers. Weather it’s a bad day, week or year, dance will never not be there for you. Please know you can reach out to us, if you need to.

After another amazing week at EDDA, we finished off with a very special visit from Richard Chappell.

Richard taught two workshops for our dancers today.

We feel incredibly lucky to have this opportunity and experience and can’t thank him enough.

Remember tickets are available for his brilliant show, Bloom, next Saturday at The Manor Pavilion in Sidmouth. The show also features some of our dancers with a piece choreographed by our own Miss Daisy.

Congratulations to our wonderful Elite company dancers on their performance at The See-the-future Charity Ball this evening.

They were just stunning and beautiful.

Thank you so much for having us, it really is the biggest honour to perform for you. We performed at this ball for the first time 13 years ago and couldn’t be more inspired by Leanne and the incredible work she does.

We have all had a wonderful first week back, after the summer holidays.
Finishing off the week with our company classes.
Big thank you to our fabulous Company Captains who have been very kind and thoughtful.
Arlya our junior captain, surprised her team with a lovely bag each full of goodies.

Senior captain, Isla had made us a puzzle where we all keep a piece as a special souvenir.

And Lucy, intermediate captain, treated the girls to some lovely sweets.

It really has been a great week, finished off with a lovely Saturday of dancing.
