My favourite part of being a wedding florist and the most nerve-wracking. The bridal bouquet handover.
Months of work, planting seeds, tending plants, selecting the best stems and weaving into a bouquet all leading up to one moment.
I am obsessed by the details so botanically dye silk to match the perfect shade to the flowers and hand fray into ribbons. So much thought and care to be a small part of your special day.

Thanks so much for capturing the moment with my lovely bride Masha.

For Alice who married her Luke on Saturday as the clouds parted and sun shone.

Soft autumnal bouquets brimming with all the fruits of October in Devon for Alice, her bridesmaid and the cutest trio of flower girls. With cosmos dancing in the not insubstantial breeze, over pillowy dahlias and xanths.

Special thanks to for the beautiful top up of dahlias, xanths, and those rosehips. Matching the brief perfectly and adding in those special moments of sparkle as only local flower growers can.

The Devon hedgerows are at their peak right now. Tangled with rosehips, blackberries, and trailing wild clematis. The perfect accompaniment to the rich dahlias, red-tinged sunflowers and rusty rudbeckia. I’ve never seen so many acorns and conkers before. They are crunching underfoot, a real ‘mast’ year.

I’m so lucky to have some beautiful hedgerows surrounding my cutting garden and access to relatives’ hedging too. I love adding a little bit of wild into my designs.

When .baranova came to play

It’s quite easy to be so focused on the doing, that I forget to appreciate how special it is to be surrounded by flowers. I look around and see the crops that haven’t done so well, the weeds threatening to overwhelm the beds, the seedlings I haven’t got round to potting on. Seeing my cutting garden and flowers through another’s eyes is such a great reset. A reminder to slow down and savour the everyday beauty. I started growing to satisfy my need to make something beautiful. What a joy to collaborate with Anna to capture more moments of wonder. I can’t wait to do more.

Still in love with Masha’s bouquet from a couple of weeks ago. Scented with sweetpeas and applemint. Ripening blackberries & crème brûlée phlox giving all the glorious depth to a soft muted palette.

This might be controversial but I don’t believe wedding flowers need to be perfect.
Give me the beautifully imperfect, wonky stems and natural character of English grown flowers over rigid perfection every time. Embracing movement, scent and serendipity, telling the story of all that they’ve weathered to reach your wedding day. Just like you. I’ll take meaningful moments over perfect ones. Do you agree?

In my Sidmouth cutting garden I grow beautiful flowers for Devon weddings and celebrations.

No showers, pink flowers

Will we ever get rain? My water butts are long empty. Devon has been so dry. The sunshine is wonderful but newly planted out seedlings and those still in their pots need watering. You’ll find me doing a rain dance and obsessively cloud spotting for the foreseeable.

Mothers Day

My biggest day of deliveries so far and the best feeling sharing beautiful British blooms with your lovely mums.

I squeezed more flowers than I thought possible into my little car. Got lost and spent some time walking round fields of donkeys but got there in the end.

Thanks to for the beautiful ruffly daffodils and for eye popping double tulips
