Remember that children aged 15 and under are FREE and adult tickets are only £15 for this year's Charity Bonfire and Firework Spectacular here at the showground!

As in previous years, we will once again have TWO firework displays - the first at 6.15pm and the second at 7.45pm - along with a great array of food and drink stalls, and a traditional funfair.

We are hosting the start and finish of the Shrewsbury Half Marathon, so there will be no car boot sale tomorrow (Sunday 27th September) - but don't worry, it will be back on Sunday 4th October!

Car boot sales then take place every Sunday during October before we finish for the winter, so don't miss out if you want to declutter or grab a bargain before Christmas...

We have always thought the showground was fit for royalty, and so it proved when HRH Princess Anne dropped in!

Princess Anne was welcomed by Neal Sadler, Chair of the Shropshire and West Midlands Agricultural Society, and Shropshire County Show Chair Arthur Hill, when she arrived at the showground last week.

Her Royal Highness was here to see the great work being done by Shrewsbury Men’s Shed and watching a demonstration by West Mercia Search & Rescue on the river, before enjoying some light refreshments in our President's Pavilion.

A great honour and a day to remember for everyone!

There’s always something happening behind the scenes at the West Mid Showground 👀

Between events, there’s plenty of work going on to keep the site looking its best and ready to welcome our next visitors.

From maintaining the grounds and preparing event spaces to all the little jobs that keep everything running smoothly, it’s a real team effort throughout the year.

We love seeing the Showground busy, but plenty is happening even when the gates look a little quieter!

It's time for a ticket giveaway!

Our charity bonfire and fireworks spectacular takes place at the showground on Saturday 7th November and we are giving away a pair of adults tickets worth £30!

It's going to be a fantastic night, with two firework displays and a HUGE bonfire, along with food stalls and a traditional funfair.

Tickets are just £15 each and children aged 15 and under are FREE.
