We have a collection of made to order gowns as we are a stockist of Mary’s Bridal; Richard Designs/Nieve Couture; White Rose Graceful and Gallery by Kenneth Winston and these are available to order in sizes 2 to 32 (usually 3-5 months delivery times) and are priced reasonably at £700 to £1800. We also have a vast choice available for immediate purchase in store as discontinued styles which allows customers to make huge savings off the rrps as they are priced at £250-£950 and are of course available for immediate purchase in store. We also have a large collection of bridal accessories to compliment your chosen gown. Various items such as veils, tiaras, hairbands, hair combs, headdresses, gloves, handbags, shawls, capes, jackets, boleros, jewellery, garters etc. Appointments available seven days a week. 20 years ago, I took my first leap and left the relative safety of an admin career to work in bridal retail.

Then, nearly 14 years ago, I took an even bigger one and decided to open my own bridal shop.

Not everyone thought it was a great idea. There were raised eyebrows, there was scoffing, and I'm pretty sure a few people thought I'd lost the plot. 😂

But I did it anyway.

Nearly 14 years of Heavenly Brides and 20 years in the bridal industry later… I'm still here. Still unzipping dress bags and boxes, still getting excited when new dresses arrive, still learning, still adapting, and still doing my thing. 🤍

Running a small business certainly isn't always easy — especially in the current climate — but I'm rather glad I didn't listen to the people who thought I couldn't do it.

Sometimes you've just got to back yourself. ✨

One dress. So many different looks 🤍

I had far too much fun making this reel 😂 and honestly, I could have carried on if time had allowed — there were so many more combinations I could have tried!

Sometimes, the dress really does look perfect exactly as it is.

Sometimes… the right veil, sleeves, belt or other finishing touches can completely change the feel of your bridal look — and make it feel even more *you*.

That’s why accessory appointments can be so much fun ✨

Whether you bought your dress from me or somewhere else, you’re welcome to book an appointment, bring your gown along and have a proper play with different options.

**This dress had already been professionally dry cleaned… so why were the underarms turning yellow? 👀**

This wedding dress came to me a few years after the wedding.

It had been dry cleaned after it was worn and then stored in a PVC dress bag. But over time, yellow staining had started to appear around the underarm area.

So what happened?

Perspiration and antiperspirant can create quite complex stains. Dry cleaning is very effective at removing many types of soiling, but it doesn't necessarily remove every trace of the water-soluble residues left behind by perspiration and antiperspirant.

A dress can therefore look perfectly clean when it's put away, while tiny amounts of residue remain within the fibres.

Over time, those residues can **oxidise and become yellow or brown**, making old perspiration marks seemingly "reappear".

Long-term storage matters too. Ordinary PVC garment bags aren't designed for the long-term preservation of wedding dresses, and heat, humidity and unsuitable storage materials can all contribute to deterioration over time.

When this dress arrived, I explained that because the staining was several years old, **I couldn't promise that I would be able to remove it completely.**

But after carefully wet cleaning the gown…

✨ **The yellowing has gone.**
✨ **The underarm marks have gone.**
✨ **And the dress is looking beautiful again.**

Every dress, fabric and stain is different, so results can never be guaranteed — particularly with older staining — but this one was an incredibly satisfying result.

I’m NOT saying accessories aren’t important… 👀

For some people, the veil for example IS the statement piece. You might have always dreamed of a colourful, embroidered or dramatic veil and deliberately choose a beautifully simple dress to let it shine.

I love that.

Indeed - our 1hr accessory styling appointments are hugely fun!

What I *don’t* think accessories should do is convince you that you love a wedding dress you weren’t sure about in the first place.

Because fast-forward to 1am on your wedding night…

The veil’s come off.

The shoes are under a table somewhere.

Your hair is down.

Those earrings that felt perfectly comfortable at 11am are now in somebody else’s handbag for safe keeping. 😂

And you’re standing there saying goodbye to the last of your guests.

**Do you still love the dress?** Do you still feel incredible?

Because underneath all those beautiful finishing touches, I think you should.

Accessories can completely transform your bridal look.

They can be dramatic, personal, colourful, sentimental — they can even be the part of your outfit you’re most excited about.

But they shouldn’t have to persuade you that the dress itself is right for you.

That’s my **1am wedding dress test**. 🤍

Turns out there are quite a few things I've done over the years that would probably send a big company's HR, finance AND operations departments into a spin 😂

When you're a business of one, there isn't another department to pass things on to.

Sometimes it's tracking down missing wedding dresses on foot. Sometimes it's opening on your day off, ordering something you desperately need for tomorrow, or making a decision that probably wouldn't make it through a corporate approval process. 😂

And sometimes it's doing something simply because it's the right thing to do.

Running a small business can be exhausting, worrying, ridiculous and incredibly rewarding — often all in the same week.

But nearly 14 years later, I still care. About the dresses, about the experience, and most importantly, about the people who walk through my door. 🤍

So yes… sometimes small business really does mean:

**“Leave it with me. I'll sort it.”**
