Are sides worth it? 💭

Weekly Wedding Wisdom- this time we are talking about whether you should have your ceremony guests seated on separate sides ie. the old tradition of a brides side and a grooms side.

Apart from each party being able to see their loved one’s face there isn’t much of a reason in my opinion.

Consider:
-How many guests have you each got, can this be even?
-How do guests know where to sit? Use groomsman or signs ie. “Pick a seat not a side” and will the venue help inform?
-Defo reserve the front for your closest regardless
-Do you want to encourage your guests to unite from the off?

⭐️ J&M ⭐️ A look back at earlier this month at - what a wedding!

The love in the room was unreal for these two and it was an absolute joy to coordinate their day which they had done a superb job of planning 🤩

I recognise when I make these Reels my footage is far from Instagram sharp 🤣 it’s not because I forget, it’s because I’m probably somewhere but everywhere- ahead of the day- making sure it’s how it should be 💁🏼‍♀️ In other words unsexy crouching by PA systems, trusting myself to lift props you’ve spent months on, on the dog & bone 📞 to your next supplier, herding your flock of guests or working out how the hell we are going to do this 🤣

I know, I know…It’s our job to make our clients happy ✅

But some photos really do capture the connection we as wedding planners/coordinators build with our clients.

This is me & Sue, we took a moment to take everything in that we had worked on during the arrival reception and I am so glad we did.

It made sure to store the memory of how we don’t just make sure things run smoothly and stress free we elevate the planning process with joy and a genuine wedding bestie connection.

WHO IS SHE?!? 💁🏼‍♀️

Hello 👋 I thought it had been a big while since I introduced myself and no I haven’t been to find myself, I’ve been working on .

So I’m Jess, Jessica when I’m feeling super professional, sassy or have been naughty 😬

I am a Wedding & Event Planner/Coordinator based in Shropshire but covering the UK. I have 10+ years experience within events and hospitality management (I know I don’t look old enough you, thank you 😏 )
I began planning weddings and events in London then life did its thing and I moved back my hometown of Shrewsbury in Shropshire where I have now been planning and coordinating with JBES for almost 2 years.

What do I offer?
On The Day Coordination, Full Planning Packages, Venue Dressing Support, MC’ing and anything in between.

What’s the in between?
It’s not undecided or confused, the more jobs I do the more I believe that we all deserve support and not every event will “conform to the norm” so packages are created bespoke following an initial consultation.

What’s my approach?
Your choice of coordinator will not only be based on their experience and testimonials but you are hiring that individual, so you should get a feel for them pretty easy. My approach is supportive, open, detailed, collaborative, realistic (very important), I am not strict on duties plus I do love a joke or two 🙊 🤷‍♀️

My day job is as a BDM for the NEC Group, so coordinating weddings and events with JBES is my passion which I think makes them even more special ⭐️

We all know that pricing is so so important and you just want an idea sometimes. So a few simple questions and answers will help me give you a guide. 💸
