More from Jess and Jack bossing their wedding day over at The Sweeney Hotel. Utterly gorgeous day, from start to finish.

Swipe to see that I don’t just take pictures of the couple at the wedding, it’s also about photographing the guests and recording the whole of the day. When I photograph a wedding, it’s not just pictures of you, it’s pictures around you too, and we are always all about banning boring wedding photos!

Like a do**us I forgot to get this gorgeous pair on the grid, so here’s four smashers from their wedding last Saturday at Grange Barn, near Whitchurch. Such a great day, I wish I could shoot at Grange Barn more often! So if you’ve got a wedding booked there give me a shout!

Jess and Jack, completely winning their wedding day at the Sweeney Hotel near Oswestry, yesterday. Shropshire hitting at its best, where tears were shed, laughs were laughed, speeches were…er speeched, kisses were kissed and dances were danced.

Such a fu***ng awesome day with this couple. I’m so luck to have the best job in the world. Fact.

What I love about editing a wedding is that as I go through each picture, cropping, rotating, adjusting light, exposure, colours, and so on, I find myself smiling back at the smiling people in the pictures. It’s crazy and I must look like a loon sitting there smiling at a computer screen. But I love it.

Anyway, Holly and James, check your emails. The link to your gallery is there. Just saying.

I’ve got a weekend off this weekend! Yay! First Saturday in two months with no work booked in the diary! I don’t know what to do with myself to be honest! Haha!

Have a great weekend everyone! May you find yourself smiling too.

Amanda and Anthony, smashing weddings out of the park at Tawstock Court last Saturday.

I real road-trip south for me, but what a fabulous place to end up, I’d love to visit and photograph there again sometime!

I’m so lucky to really, *really* have the best job in the world to visit the best venues and eat the best food and photograph the best people and…EVERYTHING!

There is loads I’ve learnt in 8 years of shooting weddings and photographing over 200 of them…

The most important of which is that all weddings are different and that your wedding should be your wedding, not what you think other people expect; it’s yours to do your way!

Other really important things are that your guests won’t remember the colour of the sashes on the chairs, but they will remember dancing at your party.

Your job is not to think on your wedding day. You should be concentrating on eating fabulous food, drinking great drinks, snogging your new spouse and dancing! My job is to do the thinking for you, and if you need to make a decision about something, it’s to pick from two choices, not to have to spend ages thinking about what’s going to happen.

Tied to that is that time spent planning is never wasted and having options ready in our pockets to deal with anything that could happen is always good.

Your guests are (almost) as important to me as you are - every single person at a wedding needs to be treated with respect and humour. Everyone at a wedding is important to me - I don’t just photograph the bride and groom, I want to capture images of everyone; after all you love them enough to have them at your wedding day, you will love to see them enjoying themselves too!

Finally, and most importantly, on the day itself, your wedding day is the focus of my attention, it’s the event you are paying for. It’s your day, not mine, they are your pictures, not mine. It’s not a photoshoot, it’s not a content creation exercise, it’s not a marketing opportunity, it’s the day that you marry the love of your life, and I am completely there for you and for that!

Olivia and Will. Delbury hall. That’s it. It’s a kinda mic drop thing I think!

I just love my job, I’ve had so many great great weddings so far this year, I’m really enjoying shooting them all so much, and I’m really looking forward to the rest of them to come this year.
