The biggest & best part of my day is spent chuntering & laughing with my best friend & brother from another mother!! The crazy greengrocer next door, he is so unbelievably funny & not unlike Basil Faulty 😂😂😂 the childish banter has made it a pleasure going to work. I will miss him the most of all and love him lots, friends for life!!!
Looking back, I have missed so many events being tied to the shop. Weddings, funerals, celebrations, Christmas days, & holidays. If family & friends have wanted to see me they’ve had to come to the shop & fit in around customers!! Ma & Pa would come weekly to check I’m behaving & in one piece! I met Emma & Toms fur babies for the 1st time at the shop, & probably most of my time with the grandkids is here too, but they’ve loved it, always get given a job, pay them in strawberries & send them home covered in glitter with some type of trinket in their pockets or card board tube to drive their mummy mad 😂😂😂
I am looking forward to more family & friends time, looking after myself better and renewing my passport 😁😁😁

Where it all started, why & who’s been with me over the years 🥰🥰🥰
Very few of you know, but it was a spoken dream/idea whilst my husband was poorly.
I gave up work in the motor trade to care for him & we joked about having a flower shop when he recovered & he would do the deliveries. I wish he’d of been here to help with the dream, he could’ve done the nasty paperwork as well , amongst other jobs 😂!!! (skipping what happened, it’s not a sob story or poor me!!!!)
My mum-in-law got me into floristry 16 years ago!! Obviously I went to college & gained my qualifications then worked to gain my experience!!!!
8 years ago i was looking for a shop , I’d viewed many shops in Ilkley but an old shop I worked in at Saltaire came vacant, good deal,snap his hand off & have a go!!!!
Being numerically re****ed I didn’t think I’d last a year 😂 almost 8 years on I’ve done good 🥳🥳🥳
Sadly my landlord/lady has sold all their shops in Saltaire, end of an era, all good, leave on top, don’t stay & fail!!!
I would firstly like to thank all my helpers!!! With pictures to follow, I will make further posts this week thanking many more people, but family 1st!!!
I love you people so, so much & can not thank you enough!! I know I’m not easy to work with , I m outspoken & intolerant of a lot of things 😂😂😂 & permanently chunter 😂😂😂 that will lead me into my next story 🤣🤣🤣
