Well what a busy last few days we’ve had .. even the last few weeks .. it was wonderful to see so many on Saturday for the celebration carnival procession and fun day for 200 years of The Stockton and Darlington Railway ..the Town was buzzing !!!
And Thankyou so very much for all your comments for our Floral planted Locomotion Train ! It’s certainly caused some fantastic comments …..
My brother ( Thankyou John !) and I have managed to get it into the bank today .. thankfully , so if you pop by you can have another look and see version two In Late September for the next celebratory event!
Still working and doing flower orders and deliveries! Next workshop this Friday 10 am few places remaining … .. and a lovely wedding for the weekend to do … 🚂🤩😎🙏🌸🌼🌺

In Shildon today , The town is celebrating The 200 years of the start of-the.Stockton and Darlington Railway with a street procession and funday in Hackwaorth Park…The street procession will start at 10 am (sorry I-was led to believe it was 11 am in previous posts ) along Church street , down central parade leading into the park ..The road will be closed from 9-30 am till 11-15 am ..we will be celebrating ..in floral style as we have made our own “ Floral locomotion “ pictures to follow .., we have some of “ Eric Thompsons” railway and Shildon masterpieces and Mike Amos signed books “ All Change “ for sale ..why not pop in and have a cuppa ..be lovely to see you ..
And then there’s always Kynren to visit this evening in Bishop Auckland too .

Well I know
It’s a bit late in the day to welcome the first of the month ….however we have been sensationally busy.with some amazing weddings , lots of workshops and sadly lots of funeral flowers and flower orders 🌺🌸🌻 ..It’s been a marathon of flowers! ..and we are buzzing ..Been busy making our own “ locomotion” also In readiness for ShildonLittle street cavalcade carnival Saturday 2nd August ..why not pop along ..
So

August is the eighth month of the year and the flowers connected with this month are Gladiolus, a symbol of strength and love, provides height to the garden and a splash of much-needed color in the final full month of the summer season.
The poppy, known best for its red colour and signifies Silence and peace …( which I think we know I may not be fully tuned with …sometimes ! );
So wishing you all a happy peaceful summer ..

As most of you will know , 2025 we are celebrating 200 years of the Stockton and Darlington Railway🚂 ..Lots of events are happening along the line and we in Shildon next Saturday the 2nd of August are have a street parade starting at 11 am and festival celebration in the park …The banners and flags have been placed on the lampposts through the Main Street and we are preparing to make It very special….
This morning we took delivery of some mighty fabulous “ EricThompson” fine art and prints ..of Shildon and steam engines ..and we have them on sale for you to browse and purchase ..we will this next week be in and out as we have lots of weddings and events to prepare but will be open on Saturday 2nd August 9-12pm ..so why not pop in and have a coffee ..watch the carnival parade have a look around and see our floral “ masterpieces” 😉 and Eric’s framed artwork , before you walk down the road to Hackworth Park …

The first day of July is associated with two birth flowers: Larkspur (Delphinium) and Water Lily. ( unfortunately as beautiful as they are we don’t use water Lillie’s in the cut flower world ) Larkspur symbolizes love, joy, and an open heart, while water lilies represent purity, enlightenment, and rebirth …

We have just taken delivery of a lovely selection of plantable seed cards and perpetual birthday / event calendars! These can be soaked when the recipient of the card is finished with them and then they will grow into seedlings ! Totally compostable.. even the bags are too and made from biodegradable vegetable starch !
