Timmy looking after Queenie, just over a year ago now 🐾

Queenie had to have surgery on her eye after a trauma, It was awful for all of us, especially her mum Sam. The vet told us it’s sadly common in pugs + teacup Yorkies - overbreeding means their heads are too small for their eyes to sit safely.

Queenie recovered and Timmy hasn’t left her side since. But it’s a reminder that “cute” shouldn’t come at a cost.

If you’re thinking of getting a dog:
1. Please consider rescue first ❤️ So many pugs, Yorkies + crossbreeds need homes.
2. If you can’t adopt right now, share rescue posts - it costs nothing and every share helps a dog find their person.

Queenie’s doing great now. She’s proof that dogs are tough, loving, and worth it.

Saturday’s bride knew exactly what she wanted: “Nothing too big” 💍

So we made her this. Soft pinks + creams, roses and lisianthus with delicate greenery trailing out. Light to hold, easy to carry, but still a statement for the photos.

Not every bride wants a huge bouquet. Sometimes it’s the smaller, perfectly shaped ones that steal the show.

Made with love, made for a Blades fan ❤️🤍

This bespoke football tribute left the shop last week. Every panel hand-pinned with red carnations and white chrysanthemums, finished with a knitted scarf and Sheffield United badge.

We create these for football fans because passion doesn’t stop at 90 minutes. It’s how families say goodbye to someone who lived and breathed the game.

We went for soft blush roses, creamy tones, and a pop of deep pink to keep it warm, thoughtful, and a little bit celebratory.
No pressure, just pretty flowers to break the ice.

This is where the magic happens for wedding orders. Stems laid out, design coming together, and Sam deep in focus to make sure every detail is right.
Wedding work is intense but it’s our favourite kind of busy - knowing these flowers are going to be part of someone’s big day.

No glamour shots here, just real behind-the-scenes work. Scissors, tape, and a lot of concentration.

Fresh in today and they smell absolutely unreal. We’re standing over the crate like this for a good 5 minutes - no shame.

A bit of a throwback to one of my favourite photos.

On the right is Molly, our Saturday girl at the time. Loved her to bits - she’s moved on now but she is a star and I have some funny memories.
Next to her is Jano, my best friend. She passed away 3 years ago. I miss her every day. She was funny, raw to the core, and never held back. This shop isn’t the same without her in it.

Then there’s Nigel - one of our favourite customers. Just the nicest bloke you’ll ever meet.
And of course, Jo and me in the middle.
And Josaphine trying to hide behind the candle 😂

This was Christmas Eve. Tired, a bit mad, and so happy to be almost finished for the day.
That’s the Sarah’s Florist family - staff, customers, and friends all mixed together.

Grateful for the ones still here, and holding the ones who aren’t close in my heart.

Meet Dave. Retired from the University of Sheffield, official job title I gave him: “Pen Pusher” 😂

Never done a hard day’s graft in his life, but he’s done a lot of good things ones bringing us coffee from Costa or Tram Stop Coffee.
And of course, he buys flowers throughout the year - for every occasion and just because.

Dave’s the kind of customer you love having in the shop. He can take a joke, he’s always got a laugh, and he’s genuinely kind to everyone who walks through the door.
He pops in, has a chat, leaves us caffeinated, and makes the day better.

We don’t say it enough, but customers like Dave are why we love doing what we do.

New staff training in progress 🐾💻

Samantha’s got her hands full today training up Lenny Benny on the iPad till.
He’s very focused… mostly on the treats in her pocket, but we’re calling it progress.

He’s not quite ready to take payments yet, but he’s excellent at customer service and moral support.
If you pop in, expect a wagging tail and a nosy sniff around the till.

Tiny Tim would be proud.
