For all you gin connoisseurs who are wanting to surprise a loved one with a fun festive party, there's still space on our gin tasting on the 8th of December at Rendezvous Totley. In the tasting you will get:

5 measures of premium gin with Fevertree Tonic
A rundown of the surprisingly interesting history of gin and tonic
A full meal, paired with our gin selections.

All this plus a friendly fun host (if I do say so myself) for an affordable £26 per person.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Thank you to all the lovely ladies at the Dore Bells WI for a fantastic gin tasting last night. Here's the recipe for the raspberry gin and the gin cocktail.

Ingredients:

100g Raspberries
700ml bottle of Aldi gin
Raspberry Coulis
Ice
Tall glass
Soda or Tonic

Recipe for gin:

1. Pour 100ml of gin out of the bottle in order to make space for the raspberries. You can save the gin or just drink it (you probably deserved it)

2. Put the 100g of raspberries into the bottle making sure to squeeze them slightly as you do it

3. Give the bottle a good shake and store in a cool, dry place

4. Make sure to shake the gin bottle every night for five days and by then it should be ready

5. Sieve out all the pips and bits in the bottom of your gin, you can save these bits and freeze them to use instead of ice if you fancy

Recipe for cocktail:

1. Pour 2 measures of raspberry gin into a tall glass

2. Pour one measure of raspberry coulis in as well, this can be home made or store bought

3. Stir the two together until the consistency is even

4. Top off with either soda or tonic and garnish with ice, a raspberry, mint and if you saved them, frozen gin raspberry bits

5. Drink

6. Fall asleep on the sofa

Hi everyone, I'm afraid that due to a lack of interest we are cancelling our underground fitness gin tasting. Apologies if anyone was thinking of going

30/09/2017

Good news everyone! Underground Fitness gym on Ecclesall Road have booked a gin tasting! This means that if you have struggled to make it to my tastings in Totley you can come over to the gym instead (workout not required)! We will be hosting the tasting on the 3rd of November and it will be an introductory tasting showing the vastly different varieties you can get. Message me for details if you're interested!

So as I've previously said we have a gin tasting coming up on the 9th of December at Rendezvous Cafe. It is already booked up but we will hold one on the 8th if enough people are interested. It will be a Christmas themed tasting after all 'tis (or 'twill be) the season to be jolly. Message the page for full details if you are interested!!!

Recipe for the blueberry gin I made.

Slice half a punnet of blueberries in half and place them in your bottle of gin. Rotate and shake your bottle once a day so the blueberries move around, leave them in the bottle for about a week. Then make a blueberry coulis by mixing crushed blueberries and sugar together until you make a thick syrup. Mix the coulis and the gin together to make a tasty blueberry gin. The longer you leave the blueberries in the gin the longer the flavour can develop.
Enjoy this recipe I know I certainly did 😊😊😊

Because of the popular demand for the next gin tasting on the 9th of December at Rendezvous, we will be holding another tasting on the 8th. Message the page as soon as possible if you would like to go as tickets are limited

Great gin tasting last night, thanks again to everyone who came, old faces and new. The gin of the night was Aviation Gin but it was a very close competition indeed.
The other gins were:
No 209
Dorothy Parker Gin
Bulldog Gin.

Looking forward to the next tasting on the 9th of December 2017, it's gonna be a good Christmas special!!!
