Join Lucy and Wendy of What If We Create CIC at a FREE workshop to decorate your very own willow lantern, ready to shine bright in the Great Grimsby Light Parade as part of the town centre's Christmas Festival.

📆Saturday 15 November

10am to 11am
11.30am to 12.30pm
1pm to 2pm
2.30pm to 3.30pm

📍At: People Make Grimsby, Freshney Place Shopping Centre (next door to Next)

This free, family-friendly workshop is open to all. All materials will be provided, and you’ll have plenty of options to personalise your lantern design.

Please note: Booking is per lantern, not per person. Groups are welcome – for example, a child and adult (or a small group) can work together to create one lantern, which counts as a single booking.

Join Great Grimsby’s Christmas Parade 2025! ✨🎄

We’re inviting all Grimsby-based dance and community groups to be part of the town’s most magical Christmas celebration! 🌟

🗓 Saturday 22nd November 2025
📍 Grimsby Town Centre
⏰ 5:15–5:45pm

Our light parade will travel from Freshney Place to St James Square, featuring glowing lanterns, stilt walkers, roaming performers, and YOU! 💃✨

Dress up in the lights theme - think fairy lights, glow sticks, LEDs, lanterns - and feel free to add a simple choreography as you walk (it’s optional, but we love creativity!)

🕔 Meeting time: 4:45pm at Freshney Place (outside People Make Grimsby/Next).
🎄 Parade starts at 5:15pm and finishes at St James Square for the light switch-on.

The festival has official opened for the day and there’s plenty going on!
