Pippa and Alec wanted a ceremony which reflected them personally: something that felt young and fun, whilst also being elegant, elevated and incredibly stylish.

A wedding celebrant is the perfect choice for this, because there’s nothing more sophisticated than something 100% bespoke created just for you.

Pic 3 here of their guests laughing makes me so happy! P+A's whole celebration was such a joy to be part of. I just had to share it with you.

For all the little details of this stunning at-home wedding in an English garden setting, head over to the blog.

If you’ve got questions about working with a wedding celebrant, well, friend – I have answers.

There’s no such thing as a stupid question, especially with something like wedding celebrants, where there’s still a fair amount of confusion about what we do and how we can help.

HIT THE LINK below for... **Everything you've ever wanted to know about working with a wedding celebrant**

(Especially if you're nosey, because I've covered actual, bona fide questions that I genuinely get asked.)

Or you know, just pop your Q in the comments (DM me if you're shy) and I'll answer it like the wedding boffin that I am.

- How do you fit in your legal and celebrant wedding ceremonies? -

In England and Wales celebrant weddings aren’t legal ceremonies, which in some ways gives you loads of freedom. But, ultimately, it also means that if you want to be legally married – like most of my couples do – you need to have a quick civil ceremony too.

In an ideal world your celebrant would complete the formal marriage paperwork with you, but there's an annoying delay in the law catching up to people's preference for this. (You might have read about this in the news recently. It's a whole thing and I could waffle on about it for ages, but that's for another time! For now, here's...)

3 timeline ideas for legal and celebrant weddings
💍 Start at the registry office, then head to your wedding venue
💍 Have both at your wedding venue
💍 A wedding weekender

Head to my blog (link below) to get the nitty gritty, plus a bonus option.

Here's to all the dogs whose human-bosses / human-servants are getting married this year. They'll have to put up with not being the centre of attention for a whole day, possibly even a weekend... Unless they manage to wangle an invite to the celebration like these two did.

Baxter and Odie couldn't miss Nicole and Shaun getting wed (remember I said I couldn't get over this wedding?!)

N+S's (incredibly photogenic) dogs were represented in their wedding jewellery, with grey salt and pepper diamonds for Baxter and cognac diamonds for Odie.

Soon-to-be-wed dog fans, are you involving your furry family members in your wedding? Are they being treated to a honeymoon of their own when you head off on yours? Do you need a wedding dog sitter? I have reccos! Tell me everything! Send dog news!

20/05/2025

This is what it looks like when someone is really invested in your wedding day, when they properly care about you as individual human beings, when they're rooting for your relationship and inspired by all you've achieved together already, when they want your ceremony to suit you and your unique story and the wild, messy, occasionally unorthodox way you live your life.

As your wedding celebrant, to me you are not just an appointment to get through, you're not just another booking, you're not one-of-many. I haven't "seen it all before" when it comes to you and your wedding. I am genuinely interested in your weird hobbies and niche interests, in how you met and the secrets you've discovered about one another... in that time you rescued a wild animal (IYKYK) or the dance routine you've spent months on, and a million other small moments and core memories... which might not even make it into your ceremony script, but give me an insight into your lovely life.

It's horribly sincere and not very millennial of me to gush, but goodness it's an honour to do this work. To be trusted by you, to be part of your wedding, it's sort of indescribable actually.

(In fact I reckon a lot of wedding suppliers feel this way. Not exclusively celebrants. What do you think fellow suppliers? It's not just a job. It's not always easy. But flipping heck it's a joy.)

- Intimate Chimney House Wedding -

Becoming a Sheffield wedding celebrant is the best decision I’ve ever made; but there’s one thing they don’t tell you about in the training: you want to become best friends with all of your couples.

That’s totally the case with Nicole and Shaun, who had a dreamy Chimney House wedding in the late summer. Tap the link below to DRINK IN the dreaminess (this is a pun, you'll get it when you read the blog post I promise. Can you guess what it's about from the pics?).

I can't promise this is the last time I'll share about N+S's day, because I absolutely effing loved it... And you haven't even seen their incredibly photogenic dogs yet.

- 16 of the best Sheffield wedding venues according to a local Wedding Celebrant (*ahem* that's ME!) -

You’d be forgiven for thinking that all the Steel City does is bang out world-class athletes and musicians. Whilst it does do that – and does it very well, too – it also has so much more to offer, including some incredible spaces and places to get married.

As a Sheffield wedding celebrant, I adore this city and celebrating everything it has to offer is extremely my jam – so it’s only right that I compiled all of the best places to get married here.

Head to my website for Sheffield wedding venues for all kinds of celebrations, whether you’re looking for historical gems, industrial chic, warehouses, or... anything really!

A Yorkshire Sculpture Park wedding, nearly 40 years in the making...

The magic of Darren and Linda’s wedding was hard to put into words. Grab a brew, pull up a (non-denominational) pew, head to the link to get inspiration from this wonderful, artistic, original (and slightly bonkers) wedding.

A few words on humanism and my values...

[But first, a side note - It's obligatory for all wedding celebrants to have a photo blowing confetti at the camera. Don't judge, it's what we do. Every day I'm blowing confetti in someone's face in the name of LOVE. Here's my confetti pic.]

As a humanist celebrant my values are at the centre of what I do. If humanism is a new concept to you, it simply means living an ethical life without religion. For me it’s about living life to the full, and being kind to other people and the planet.

My mission is to help people express themselves fully, and deeply connect with their loved ones during milestone moments. Ultimately I believe that humans have the right to be their true, unique selves. And I champion the idea that it's OK to live a life others don't understand.

The couples I marry say that working with me is like getting to know a new friend. If you like the idea of meeting over a beer or cuppa, at your personal favourite pub or café or at home, I think we’ll get along well!

When you're ready to chat, book a free call via megsenior.com (linkinbio) and let’s explore working together.

I love weddings as much as the next person but let’s be honest: sometimes, they can be boring.

I’m sure you’ve found your mind wandering during at least one ceremony, dreaming of when it might be finally time for the canapes and bubbles…and I’m also pretty certain that that won’t have happened during a ceremony led by a celebrant.

Visit the link find out **How to have a non-boring wedding ceremony** (a.k.a. why celebrant weddings are so fun).
