THIS WEEK AT ALDER 🧟‍♀️📽️

We are closed today after a music-filled weekend - big thanks to everyone who came and joined us for Tramlines

Tuesday Kelham Film Club are showing a 90s rave retrospective double bill with w:A return to oz + human traffic at 7:30pm

We have our weekly quiz on Wednesday with some prize vouchers for Best Boy Bagels, starting at 8pm

Thursday join us for Erin’s Horror Movie Quiz and another chance at some prizes, this time we’ve got various horror dvd’s and showroom cinema vouchers to win, quiz starts at 8pm, message us to book a table

Our music is back on Friday with a live jazz show from Blue Seven Jazz, starting at 7pm

Sunday we’ve got an afternoon of psychedelic rock with Jeffrey Alexander & The Heavy Lidders playing, alongside supports Bobby Lee & Hearing Things, starts at 3pm, tickets are going fast and likely to sell out, get yourself one in the link in our bio for £12

Hey! This is Joe from Percy Street Collective

Joe has been working hard with Percy Street CIC on a couple of projects recently, as well as helping our in our cellar ever single week!

The first one is our pub herb garden! Hand built and maintained by members of the CIC, our garden contains a multitude of herbs for you to pick at your leisure, with surplus being donated to the Zest Center. Come on down and take a look at all of their hard work, thanks Joe 🙂

As well as this, you might have noticed a second community herb garden built by them on Neepsend Lane dubbed "Neepsend Pit Stop"

This contains even more herbs that you can pick and admire as well as some wicked purpose built benches

Thanks to Percy St. CIC for bringing some well needed improvements to both our garden and the area!

Migration Matters Festival 🧡 brings their pub quiz to Alder tonight, 6pm start!

England Vs Ghana at 9pm on Tuesday - walk-ins only

Wednesday we have Scottish themed prizes for the quiz followed by the game at 11pm

Fruit ‘n Frybre is returning with his chaotically fun bingo night, cash prizes to be won, DM for a table as it's filling up

Norway Vs France on Friday at 8pm

England Vs Panama 10pm Kick off, Walk-ins only

Electronic Music on Sunday with a free entry show from 5pm

First, we're sooo happy to show off our beautiful new sign designed by Jack Bendall. It really suits us and looks great so thank you Jack!!!

And thanks to Chadd Upholstery for giving our benches these gawgeous cushions to perch on - so your boney bums can finally rest easy ###

We always have banging deals on Tuesdays for certain peeps!

This Tuesday is 's Secret Cinema. Book in for free via the link in our bio to reveal the secret and get some drinks deals from the bar. 🎥🍿

On Wednesday, our usual quiz returns with scampy flavoured prizes.... 😋

Thursday is our wild card this week. We've got live electronica, from bands Eyes Down Bingo Masters - emotive synths, catchy beats, quirky storytelling - and Low Jeopardy - where no two gigs are the same, spontaneous and creative. Guest vocalist Eleanor Hooper and pretty from the Buddhist punk. 🎧🔮
Doors 7pm, starts at 8.

On Friday and Saturday, we're open as normal but with no public events.

And finally on Sunday, aka Sheffield University Big Band for a day in the sun. These semi-professional jazz musicians are multi award winning and the best of Sheffield uni. 🎺🎷🪊
