I’ve brought my drone along to nearly every wedding I’ve photographed, but up until recently, it was mainly just for the classic big group shots. Finally getting to use it more creatively—capturing sweeping landscapes, quiet moments from above, and totally unique perspectives—was a game changer. Alongside some epic couple portraits on the ground, it made this gallery feel extra special. One of those weddings where everything just clicked.

A quick one at for James & Ruhani a few weeks back! We met in a nearby park, I witnessed their ceremony, and then we had an incredible wander around York in the blazing sunshine.

Honestly, what a stunning city York is for portraits — full of historic backdrops, charming streets, and gorgeous architecture. A big yes from me!

We finished up with a little shoot back at The Grand, where they were staying — the perfect mix of elegance and romance to end the day.

Also, pro tip: if you pop into Costa in your wedding attire, they might just treat you to a free drink… and your photographer too 👀☕️

The amount of effort that goes into every intricate detail of a wedding day is seriously underrated. Every couple I work with brings their own vision to life—and seeing that vision fully realised on the day is honestly one of my favourite parts.

Holly and Sam’s day was no exception. Their vision was perfectly echoed in the character of The Mount Without’s stunning interior, and it made for such an incredible setting for their story to unfold.

It’s always a treat going back to — but this time felt like a whole new experience! I’ve always shot on the other side of the venue, so getting to explore a fresh backdrop (especially that little platform by the water I’ve had my eye on for ages) was a real win.

For the first time ever, I brought out the drone during couple portraits — and yes, it was so worth lugging it to every wedding up to now!

Having done a pre-wedding shoot with Louise & Alex at Bamford Edge in the Peak District, I knew their day would be full of joy — and it absolutely was. From the constant laughter to the beautifully relaxed vibe, everything just flowed.

Also, shoutout to Louise who made her own wedding cake! Such a personal and lovely touch.

The kind of wedding that reminds you why you love what you do.

Ever since the enquiry came in for a wedding at , I did my usual recce of shoot locations—and as soon as I saw one photo taken from the bell tower at the top of the church, I knew we had to get up there for couple portraits.

During both the initial Zoom call and the final planning chat, I told Holly & Sam how incredible it would be if we could make it happen… and these are the results. 360° panoramic views over the Bristol skyline and an unforgettable moment to round off their day.

Lauren & Dan – gallery signed, sealed, delivered!
This one had been in the diary since the early days of my business, and after our pre-wedding shoot at Dan’s gym a few months back, I was so excited to photograph their day – it sounded like it was going to be a blast (spoiler: it absolutely was).

It was also my first time shooting at which ended up being a lovely surprise – and it’s practically on my doorstep! If you’re on the hunt for a venue in or around Mansfield, definitely give this one a look.

Holly & Sam’s day was an absolute highlight — one of those weddings that just sticks with you for all the right reasons. Non-stop laughter, the sweetest moments, and such a warm, infectious energy from start to finish. I’d been buzzing to shoot at ever since they booked — the architecture is unreal, and it gave the perfect backdrop to such a relaxed, joy-filled celebration. Hopefully the photos capture just how special it all felt.
