The prettiest of wedding cakes for Ashton & Alec last weekend 💕

They travelled across the pond to celebrate their wedding day at the oh so romantic Stourhead Estate. With stunning flowers by Florist Café | Shaftesbury and everything beautifully captured by 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒆 - 𝑾𝒆𝒅𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑼𝑲 their cake was perfectly finished off with their vintage cake toppers - I think these are my favourite toppers of all time!

It was such a pleasure being a part of their special day and part of a talented team bringing everything together.

Let’s talk about colour!

Whether it’s from flowers or the actual colour of your cake, I’m seeing more and more couples incorporate pops of colour into their wedding decoration.

I love using bold colours in my designs and there are so many ways to add beautiful flashes of colour to your wedding cake - fresh flowers, sugar flowers, edible flowers, macarons, Lambeth piping, ombré buttercream, ribbons…the options are endless!

Rustic buttercream texture was the standout favourite! So here’s a selection of beautiful rustic buttercream cakes for inspiration.

This is always such a lovely effect as each cake turns out slightly different. I actually find these way harder than super smooth buttercream as I tend to spend longer getting it just right - it takes a perfectionist to create something imperfect 🤷‍♀️

As we head into spring, wedding planning for summer and autumn weddings ramps up! This is the best time of year to get your wedding cake booked in.

This time of year, I spend most of my time chatting to couples and sketching designs. I love it! This is when all my cakes for the year come into view and I look ahead to all the wonderful weddings I get to be a part of 🥰

You’ll receive your cake tasters in the post to try at home and we’ll hop on a video call to say hello and chat about all the details (I think it’s always nice to put faces to names!) I’ll then get to work on your designs until you have your perfect cake!

Getting back into the swing of Insta (sometimes you just need a break!) and I’ve realised that I have SO many cakes to share, both wedding cakes from last year and more recent celebration cakes.

A buttercream beauty for E&F last September 🥰
